Hello, we purchased a resort package which includes 5 tickets (water park & more and park hoppers). My husband will be in Orlando on business and my son and I were looking to use our water park tickets prior to our stay at the Disney resort.

Can I use our water park passes (for example, on Monday and Tuesday when we are off property), and then use the rest of our park tickets Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday when we are on property?

In the above scenario, I'm guessing we would have 3 extra days within ? days to visit the water parks again?

I'm so confused :( Thanks in advance!!

1. Yes.

2. You can visit a WP(s) on the same day(s) that you ALSO visit a theme park, if you like.
No "hopper" is needed to do that.

Any part of your unused tickets will remain valid up to 14 days following their first use.

If I understand your question correctly, you want to use the water park portion of the tickets BEFORE you check in on site? I would also like to do this on our upcoming trip, but from what I understand, the tickets start when you check in on site which is the start of your package. If I have that wrong, someone please let me know as I will be in Orlando one day early and would love to use a water park ticket as well.

It is my understanding that you do not have to check in before using your tickets. Your tickets are separate from your reservation to your room. You could use them today, and check in next month. The only thing affected would be your FP's.

You have to check into your disney resort in order to start using the water park tickets unfortunately.

This is incorrect.

You can go to any Guest Relations outside any park, or at TTC, or at DS/DTD with a legal ID and your WDW Resort info and the CM can activate your Resort Pkg. TICKETS up to 10 days before your check-in date.

Not necessarily true.

If you have PACKAGE tickets (made as part of your resort room reservations,) they are not separate from your resort check-in, but (as I spelled out in my post #6 above) guests can go to Guest Relations up to 10 days before package check-in and get their tickets activated.

Tickets that are purchased separately from their resort reservations are, or course, usable any time.

I assume there is a guest relations at TL that can do this? If so, I will be changing our plans. That first day was just going to be a low key day before we checked into our resort the next day. Now it can be a water park day and not use it during our resort stay.

Interesting, I tried to do this once and the CM told me I had to go to my resort!

Thanks so much everyone! I have a college degree and I seem to forget the process every time although it's not super clear as I can see from this thread :)

One time we did this to go to Disney Quest and the Guest Service people didn't know how to handle the request. We had to wait for a manager for awhile before they were able to process our tickets. This was when magic bands were fairly new though so I'm hoping those kinks are worked out. I'd hate to show up to TL in our swimwuits and hope for the best. I think we will visit DTD and try there.

Thanks again!!

For tickets that are part of a resort package, you would need to bring the resort paperwork (or copies of that) to the Guest Relations window just outside the park you want to enter, if it is before check in day. On check in day you must go to your resort and check in. (Actual room assignment is not required.)

Hi and thank you, very enlighting!
We will be in Daytona Beach the week before our Disney stay and we have booked a package with Water and Fun option. This thread is interesting because it might offer us an activity (water parks) during that week.

We are Canadian so we will not have received our Magic Bands beforehand. The suggested procedure should still work, right? We could go the a Water Park Guest Relation and ask for our tickets but would be given a card?

Our TA, wrote: "it might very well be possible to activate your tickets prior to check-in. We're just required to say that activation is not guaranteed until check-in, just in case someone tries to enter a park and is unable to, prior their check-in date"... Not particularly encouraging to drive over an hour without knowing, imagine the disappointment!

Waiting for the official Disney Guest Relation answer to this... Not that hopeful that it will be what I want to hear :upsidedow
