Help Me Understand Photo Connect

I know I can buy a three day photo connect package online for $90. Do they give me a voucher then? Where do I turn this in for the lanyard/card?

Once I get home, will I be able to print these anywhere, say at Walgreens or whatnot?

If you buy PhotoConnect online before your trip, you will get a voucher to print which you take to the parks. You can exchange the voucher for your Star Card at either the Studios (the PhotoConnect location is just inside the park gates, across from the main gift store...I think its called "On Location") or IOA (the PhotoConnect store is in Port of Entry, and its called DeFoto's Expedition Photography).

Once you get home, you will be able to edit your photos (crop, change and add borders, etc.) and download them in various sizes (4x6, 5x7, 8x10, ...), save them to your hard drive, and then print them at whatever photofinishing outlet you would like .

Never bought any photos or packages, so I can't break down costs.
Yes, you can buy individual ride photos (but if you are going to buy several, it would be cheaper to get the photo package.)
Yes, there are photographers about, but not EVERYWHERE. There are always a few at the parks' entrances, at the character meets (including the Raptor encounter) and here and there you will come across them.

Another note, if you decide not to get a photo package, at the Raptor Encounter they will take a picture with your own camera. I didn't even ask (as I didn't want to be rude, with them selling pics.) The worker said, "If you'll let me hold your camera, I'll get a picture for you." Super nice & the picture came out great!

There are Photoconnect kiosks at the end of each ride (some in the attached gift shop). There are multiple computer terminals there, staffed with TM's. Show them your Star Card and they will add your ride photo to your Photoconnect acount.

Most of the character meet photos will have a generic blue Universal border applied to them when they are taken. Once logged in to your Photoconnect account, you should have options to change the border to something more character-specific (special borders for the Transformers, Dr. Suess, etc.) or to remove the border entirely .

We are in Orlando now, going to Universal tomorrow. I just realized when reading back over this thread that I didn't print my voucher before I left home. I have it in my email. Will Universal accept that instead of a print out?
