We will be going to Disney next May/June and considering a 10 day base/park hopper or park hopper plus ticket. I think I understand the base ticket and park hopper well. However, I need some help with the Park Hopper Plus. Do the days you go to mini golf or the water park count as one of the 10 days of park admission? Or is it good for 10 days in the "major four" plus a certain number of visits to the other places? Thanks for the help!

The Disney Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper Option allows you admission to one or more of the four main parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom) for the number of days on your ticket. It also includes the same number of "Plus Visits," which are admissions to ...

  • Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park (subject to rehabilitation, seasonal and weather closures)
  • Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park (subject to rehabilitation, seasonal and weather closures)
  • One round of golf at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course (tee time reservations required and subject to availability)
  • ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (some events require additional admission, valid only on event days)
  • Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course (one mini golf visit per day before 4:00 p.m.; cannot be used on the same day as Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course)
  • Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course (one mini golf visit per day before 4:00 p.m.; cannot be used on the same day as Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course)
So you get 10 days worth of park visits and 10 days worth of water park / mini golf visits

There is a difference though between the park entitlements and the "plus" entitlements, and you need to understand that difference.

Assume you have a 10 day Park Hopper Plus ticket.

For the 4 theme parks you can visit any or all of them on 10 different days. If you wanted to, you could visit each park every day you use your ticket, for a total of 40 park entries. Highly unlikely anyone would do that, but theoretically possible.

For the Plus options, things work differently. Here, you have exactly 10 entries you can work with - not 10 days. If you went to Typhoon Lagoon in the morning and then hopped to Blizzard Beach in the afternoon of that same day, you would use 2 of your Plus options. Playing a round of mini golf that day would use a third entitlement from your bank of 10.

For all practical purposes, it's pretty difficult to actually use more than a couple of those Plus options, so you're unlikely to really care to much. But it is different.

The good thing about the PH+ ticket is if you are planning on going to a water park, that will save you some money over regular water park admission.

So the plus entries (water park, etc) can be used in different days than the park entries and not count against the 10 day of validity, right?
