From what I understand you don't need to pay for a 2 year old at a table service meal and you just plate share with your own adult meal.

If you go to a buffet then the child can have their own plate and they don't really share a plate, right?

Am I right, here?

What I still don't understand is the beverage part. Does the 2 year old sip their drink out of their mother's beverage glass like drink share? Will the wait staff give them their own beverage without charging for it? Do you simply ask for water? This child doesn't drink from a baby bottle anymore.

We have ressies for Akershus and I'm really confused there. Is the child allowed to go to the buffet part even though we get served an entree at the table?

How does it work at the Liberty Tree Tavern? Since it's family style are we okay?

You can see I'm clueless; so, please help.

At buffets he can have his own plate. Most places will give you a drink without charging but a few may charge for it (non buffet).

Akershus is a combo buffet and AYCTE family style. You can still get them a plate from the buffet without issue. They'll give him his own plate for the food brought to the table.

Essentially any buffet or family style he can get his own plate. Ordering at a non buffet you'll pay OOP.
