Help me to announce my pregnancy

Congratulations - I love the ears with Grandma and Granpa on them - Woo hoo that is so cute!

Congrats!! I think the "my first mouse ears" would be a good idea. I got a cute maternity shirt while I was pregnant with my daughter that had Minnie Mouse and says something like "Future Mom" on it. That could be a good way to tell them too :)

I love the MIckey ears idea - but if you're the 1 having the 1st grandchild - then the name for the grandparents will not have decided on a name for themselves yet - no problem if you're not having grandchild #1 'cause the names already picked...but you wouldn't want to put the wrong name on the ears.... just something to think about...

I'd say pick up one of those baby ornaments - but then you don't want it to say baby's 1st Christmas since baby won't be born by Christmas...

ACK! I'm no help! :lmao:

I'm going to be a bit practical. Get some baby clothes while you are there. Wrap them up and tell everyone they can give them back at your baby shower in five months. Or, get some baby bottles and fill them with candy. Tell your relatives they can have the candy but you will need the bottles back in six months.

I really love filling the Baby bottles with candy and asking for the bottles back thats really neat.

I would get a pair of baby's first ears as someone above suggested and give them to the grandparents and say something like "someone will need these on a future trip" or something like that.:woohoo:

Congradulations

Congratulations on your pregnancy :goodvibes

How about sending a card from Mickey while you're there to get them going. You could just put a hint on it like "Mickey was real excited to hear your news" before giving your special dinner. I like the ears idea as well but maybe some adult one with expectant grandparent on or something. I would let them choose their names before getting a hat with them on. My Gran would be seriously peeved if she was called Grandma for instance.

I would start when you are at WDW and send a post card signed with your names and "& ?" after them. To give them a hint and see if they noticed. Then, I would buy a large mickey stuffed animal and show it to the family. Then if they ask "Why did you get that" say "it's for the baby!"

DH and I bought back an extra souvenir from Disney in June (count on the Disney magic to get you pregnant--it was planned). Anyway, we got everyone together the weekend after we got back (we found out really early) and we slipped a picture of a positive pregnany test in with our vacation photos. It really surprised everyone. Although my MIL had to ask if it was positive or negative, so if you go that route, I would suggest a digital test...lol.

This is actually a better fit on our ThemeParks Community Board.. as such I'll be moving this one there.

Thanks,

KNox

Practical = boring.
I could not imagine using a bottle for my baby that is meant as a souvenir.

Whatever you decide to do cammy, I hope the family loves it. :)

Congrats on your "little souvinier" (I know he/she wasn't created there, but I love that commercial!)!

I like the ears idea, and I am sure you have an idea what you are going to teach the kids to call them, so there shouldn't be any strife or family ******* over it I wouldn't think...

There might also be shirts there to get like, "Best Grandma ever" or something..

I think getting a picture of the two of you in front of the castle with a crazy shirt on you with an arrow pointing to your belly might be fun too! Ok tacky maybe, but fun!

I've seen mugs of the 4 parks there that have Grandma and Grandpa on the handle. That might work?
