Help me think outside the box

We will unexpectedly be going to Universal for a couple of days during our October trip to Orlando. I have an AP (preferred), as donmy three kids. Dh never upgraded his three day tkt in January because he didn't think he'd return.

So how can we have him come with us without breaking the bank and how can we secure early entry for him (throwaway room)?

I was thinking maybe a ap room at Cabana bay for early entry and a two day base tkt? Only thing he couldn't do is ride the train?

You can look into the price to upgrade one pass to premier. When I was there w/ my family my pass got us all in early entry. Plus you get free valet parking which is a nice perk. It would work for multiple days and might be cheaper than paying for a "throwaway" room.

Thanks. All of us have premier except dh. He didn't upgrade his three day ticket when we were there in January. Are you saying he would get early entry just by being with me?
