We´ve always thought we´d end our "coast to coast" trip in Florida and spend a week in a villa and do WDW. Now, I´m kind of getting second thoughts.

The villa rental (very reasonable though), car rental for a week, dining and 7 days at the park would cost us approx. $5000.

I´d much rather spend that much money on a seperate vacation to WDW next spring (and celebrate DS´s 1st. birthday) and maybe find an alternative to way to do something exciting towards the end of our trip this fall.

We have always thought we´d either end in Florida or LA (but we´re open to everything).
I guess if we end in LA we could always go to Mexico and spend a week there. Or maybe just at some great place in California.

Any ideas?

Let me PM you my address.... ;)

5000 spent, no questions asked :lmao:

Ha ha ha. You guys are funny! *Not* ;)

Let´s say you´re driving in October for 4 weeks. Would you rather start in Orlando and end in San Fransisco (with a stop in DL on the way) or would you start in San Fransisco and drive to Orlando?

san fran to orlando!!

if you aren't going to wdw, maybe pick a different start/end place than orlando? might give you a chance to see some other parts of florida (or the us).

I would probably start in CA and end in Florida, personally, for a few different reasons. hurricane season will be winding down the later in october you get to florida. also, your trip home will be shorter, and face it, its always more tiring heading home than heading out on vacation. ummmm...hmmm...well, just some thoughts. I suppose you could turn that around and say the jet lag will be worse starting in CA though?

not much help, am I? lol

good luck planning!

what are your intersests? what have you seen in the US? What do you like to do/want to see? that $5k could be spent very easily. :) :) :)

May I ask why? This is our current plan, but there´s no particular reason. Which place is the warmest at the end of October?

well, being I am from New england, I guess that is the way I would do it (I am from Mass) To bad you could not head up North from ORlando! The best place to be in Oct is New England!! With the leaves changing, the crisp smell in the air. But San Fran is probably warmer, it can get nippy in Mass at that time of the year. But Fl. should be very nice! Just what you would be looking for! and then you can do the MNSSHP!!

so I would stick with my first choice! San fran to Orlando! great weather!!

By October you might need that 5000.00 for gas money!! ;)

Have fun planning! There is so much to see in the USA!
