Oh my gosh, I am so scared. We were just assigned room 2000 from a gty status for our Panama Canal cruise. It is on Dave's site as a noisy room. Two weeks in a noisy room. OMG! Has anyone stayed in this room before? Please, help me figure out what if anything I can do.

I just read the stateroom reports on this site for rooms 2504 and 2004 and both said even though they are listed as noisy, they didn't hear much noise. One of the other rooms in the area said on a rough night they heard waves. They have more on there although not your exact stateroom or our other room 2502. I feel better though, I think we should both be alright. Have fun!

If it does wind up been noisy go prepared. Go buy a noise machine. At least this way you can chose what noise you listen too.

Wow, thanks for the link. I feel soooooooooo much better now. Do you?

Hi Jsme, guess you found me somewhere else other than a juice question! lol

I do feel alot better. Looks like you guys only have a little while to go. Have a great time!

Thanks Tara. You guys have a fantastic time also. I can't thank you enough. I feel better.

I'm not sure about this, but I believe that most of the "Noise" from the noisy room list is because of docking procedures (they use the "sideways jets" to "paralell park" the ship - fogot what they are call (there are 2 or 3 in the front of the ship and 3 or 2 in the back of the ship)) and loading / unloading stuff in port. Since you're on the August Repo and we only have 4 port days, my guess is that you will not be plagued by too much noise. It looks like you might be somewhat under Sessions and that should not be very noisy.

We had a SPR or is is SPH room on our last cruise and IT WAS NOISY!!! We didn't have a connecting room but our neighbors were noisy. Never figured out how to close their doors without them slamming. And we were right across from a couple of "CM Only" doors and those banged a lot with the room stewards comming and going.

We have been in SPR 5520 three times and it can be noisy. With that said, we prefer the SPR's though because of location. Thanks for making me feel better. My DH just came home and thinks we will be fine.

We were in stateroom 2000 in '01, and the only noise was when the ship was docking. It was loud, but if you know what it is, it shouldn't bother you. Have a wonderful time on your special cruise!

THANK YOU SO MUCH, LINDA. YOU MADE ME FEEL SO MUCH BETTER!! Thank you for taking the time to respond!

We thought that it was noisy...it was mainly the coming and going late at night by CM. There s a door to the CM private area at the end of that hall...next to room 2000 door.

Uh, oh. We have been around CM's areas before and they don't think about the guests that is for sure. Now I am scared again.
