Help me remember the banking /borrowing for Dec use year

I just banked my remaining 99 points left over out of 150 for my December 2011 use year. Our plans are to take next years (2011) 150 points and travel in the summer of 2012. Will those 99 points I just banked be expired by then? I only do this every other year and get confused each time...Thanks!

You couldn't have banked your Dec 2011 points. You can only bank the current year points which would be Dec 2010 that you just got nine days ago.

If you banked 99 Dec 2010 points into Dec 2011, they would be good for stays from Dec 1 2011 until Nov 30 2012. So from Dec 1 2011 until Nov 30 2012, you would have 99 banked +150 points current year points. Or 249 points total.

Sorry about that..I was reading from the printout...it says Current Use year 2010 99 Bank to Use Year 2011...

But it sounds like those points will not expire by the summer of 2012...thanks! I think my problem will come into trying to get into Aulani....it doesn't sound like I would be able to try and reserve until the spring of 2012 to travel the summer of 2012 (according to Member Services)...does that sound correct?

If you don't own at Aulani, you should be able to book 7 months out from the start of your vacation. As long as they are accepting reservations. If your trip is fairly early after booking opens, they usually give owners first dibs on reservations before they open it up to non-owners.

I really don't care anything about Aulani, so I don't even know when it will be open.
