Leaving in 2 weeks for our Dis trip and our one day for both US parks. Please help me rate the intensity level of some of the rides. 2 of us will do coasters, one of us (ok, me) wont. I dont even like Big Thunder at Dis, so thats my guideline. I will however do Dinosaur--I wont do coasters, can handle most shaky-Dinosaur type stuff. So with that guide line--
I wont be doing- Hulk, Dueling, MIB, Dr Doom, RRR

Rate: like Big Thunder, so- no
or: like Dinosaur so can handle...

Spiderman, Jurassic Park, Mummy, Simpsons, Shrek, MIB, T2, Jimmy Neutron

Thanks!

Spiderman is more like Dinosaur, so you should be able to do that.
Jurrasic Park is more like Splash Mountain. If you can do Splash Mountain, you should be able to do Jurrasic Park.
The Mummy is a rollercoaster, so that is probably out.
MIB is a shooter ride. Best analogy is Buzz Lightyear on steroids.
The remaining rides are all simulators with T2 the tamest, followed by Shrek. For Jimmy Neutron and The Simpsons, think of the vehicle movements of Star Tours, combined with the big screen of Soaring.

Spider-Man is no worse than Dinosaur and a great ride,Jurassic Park and Dudley Do Right are log flumes like Splash Mountain,Definitely do Popeye and Bluto it's the coolest rapids ride out there.Revenge of the Mummy is part dark ride, part roller coaster,I don't find the coaster part to be all that intense and in my opinion if you want to try any coaster this is the one to try as I also think it's probably one of the best rides in the park.Shrek is a 3-D movie where your seat bounces up and down at different points in the movie, very fun 3-D movie and one of my favorites.Terminator 2 3-D is another 3-D movie with some live actors mixed in but nothing extreme, you might get some fog if you sit up close.Jimmy Neutron is also a simulator where people sit in moving platforms, cool, decent ride.Simpsons for some reason I find a bit more disorienting than the old simulator that used to be there,Back to the Future,I think it's because the action in the movie is faster. It's still a cool ride I just don't do it that often.MIB is a very cool dark shooting ride, the ride vehicle spins, but no a big deal and this another one of my favorites. As far as the coasters and Dr.Doom,Dr.Doom is a typical tower that shoots you up,just more themed.Hulk has one of the best 3 seconds of any coaster out there as it launches you out the tube at the beginning of the ride.Dueling Dragons I find to be the most fun coaster in the park and unless you're totally freaked out about it I would suggest riding it,the Ice Dragon is a bit less intense.I rode Rip Ride Rockit this month for the first time and while picking out the music on the ride is very cool the coaster itself is an OK ride, pretty good but nothing to go crazy about.

The only other time we were there I vaguely remember riding either MIB if it was there in '02 or it was Terminator. or maybe Back to the Future... which I really did not enjoy.

So if any are like that--they would be out for me...what do you think?

Sounds like Spiderman, Shrek, Jurassic Park are doable. Simpsons Im not so sure. The 2 wet water rides are probably out for the wet factor....

Just so you know, Jurassic Park has an 85 foot drop at the end, so I doubt you will like that if you can't handle Big Thunder.

Splash Mountain has a big drop also, if they can handle that they can handle JP or Dudley Doright. They do need to be warned, tho, that the splashes on the IOA rides aren't engineered so they can get very wet.

Spiderman to Dinosaur is a good comparison, though I haven't been on Dinosaur since it was called Countdown to Extinction and I heard they wimped it down big time.

Splash Mountain is only a 55 foot drop, so 85 will seem a lot bigger. I agree though, if you can do one drop, no reason you can't do another.

I was going to say, that the drops here did seem greater than Splash Mountain - but still lots of fun! I love water-themed rides, just know...you get SOAKING WET on some of these rides. Not just a little splash like at Disney. Luckily we went on a very hot day, but still be prepared - maybe use a poncho (yes, you get that wet!!).

Spiderman - I'd say this is comperable to Dinosaur, so go for it.

JP = one big drop at the end. If you can handle Splash Mtn, it should be OK.

Mummy = an indoor roller coaster. Seems a bit wilder than BTMRR, so you'll probably want to skip it.

Simpsons = very intense simulator ride. The sensations are way better than Star Tours. IIRC, there is a part where you are on a rollercoaster ride, so maybe you might want to skip it.

Shrek = a 4-D movie, with motion seats. More intense than Philharmagic. I'd go for it.

MIB = go fot it!

T2 = 4-D theater production. Go for it!

Jimmy Neturon = simulator ride. SOme jerky motion, but not like a rollercoaster.

Have a good time!

Thanks, that helps alot. Its about what I figured--which is skip Mummy and Simpsons. I was hoping maybe I could do Mummy cause it sounds so cool, but why possibly wreck the rest of the fun day just for that. Its the first day of our week in Orlando, the rest at Disney so I'd hate to mess it up...thanks!

Sounds like a good plan. :thumbsup2

I did Mummy a few times and I am a ride chicken. It was not as wild and jerky as BTMR to me. The scenes before the roller coaster part are neat and the coaster part is over quickly.

MIB is a must do. It is not like a coaster. It is like Buzz Lightyear(but much better), but when someone else shoots your car, you will spin and it also spins at the end.

Simpsons and SPider Man are a long the same lines as Star Tours to me.

I couldn't comment on Hulk, JP, DDF or RRR, because I am too chicken to ride those, LOL
