Help me quit worrying

We booked last spring at POFQ. At the last minute we were able to sneak into the Poly and get the 30% discount. :cool1: Unfortunately we changed to close to our dates and were not able to get new Magical Express luggage tags. My TA says they go by the bar code anyways but I may want to cross out the POFQ, and write Poly on the tag. I printed some labels and switched it that way. I am just really worried about my luggage getting lost. Has anyone else ever been in this situation?

Thanks!

You could always just pick up the luggage yourself off the carousel and not use the tags at all. More inconvenient, but eliminates the worry.

Sorry - I have not had this situation before and I only used ME for about 1/2 my trips. Hope it all works out.

I'm considering that, but we are getting there quite a bit before check in and going to the parks. I know I can leave it will bell services, but I am still hoping to take advantage of the convenience.

I have been in a similar situation. I can't remember what resort I switched from or to, only that our luggage got to our resort. I crossed off the wrong resort and wrote in the correct one. Have fun on your trip!

If you are genuinely concerned, make sure you talk baggage with your ME check-in CM. They may ask for your luggage claim tickets. They definitely know which resort you are headed for, and can make sure your information is up to date in the computer.

We've even managed to NOT put ME tags on any of our bags (have had a couple of trips where we flat didn't get our ME stuff in the mail before the trip) and still get our luggage at our resort. I just tell the ME check-in CM that the bags aren't tagged, they put that in the computer along with a description (black roller bags, medium size, have red ribbons tied on them, etc) and they take the claim tickets, and that's all. No fuss.

Best way ::yes::

Yes, they do go by bar code. If you cross out the name they know the resort on the tags is incorrect. Sounds like you'll be fine. :thumbsup2

We have just crossed off the resort and written the new one on and we recieved our bags just fine.

Honestly ME is really good at what they do and have encountered this lots of times. Your bar code should read Poly and so all should work out. I have even taken ME without any luggage tags at all (I booked really last minute)- I just took my claim tickets to the counter at ME and they picked up my bags - was super easy - you can always do that if you want to - but I think they'll have it covered.

Good luck and enjoy your trip!:)

We have a similar issue. 2 people in my party are arriving three days after everyone else. The luggage tags and ME tickets all show everyone arriving on the same day. I called and checked and the info in the computer is correct, just incorrect on the tags.

I'm just going to cross out the incorrect date and go with that.
