I just can't make the jump. I am booked at blt in August. I have adr's. I have a daily plan. I just can't commit by finally buying the plane tickets. I keep thinking we could use the money for other things. Maybe we shouldn't spend so much on a vacation. We have the money for the trip sitting in an account. It is not that we don't have the money. I just can't make myself buy the tickets. It seems final then.

I get the same way. That's why I like southwest- you can cancel and still have a credit for another trip as long as you take it within a year. Almost every trip I have the same problem where I'm not sure if we should go. I think of all the other things I could do with the money. We have the money, too, and are not in debt. I guess it was just the way I was raised. But, we've gone 8 times in 14 years and are going again this summer so as you can see it's an addiction. Have you gone before?

We went 5 years ago. I have been wanting to go back. I finally decided it was time. Now, I'm getting cold feet. I guess I need to remind myself we could get the credit from Southwest. I never like feeling that I have not way out. I think of all the what ifs and the we could do that instead.

Travelling does seem like a luxury and of course, there is always many more things you could do with the money but in my opinion, you can't put a price tag on the memories you make while on vacation, especially in Disney! For our family, it's been our most special times together. I don't regret a penny we spent on vacations in WDW. If you can afford it, I'd say GO FOR IT! Years from now, you will remember the vacation, you probably won't remember what you bought with the money if you don't go.

What else do you want to spend the money on??????

Time to do the things you want aka travel is one of the things you can never get back.

REPEAT AFTER ME

Money is just a tool to get me the things I need and then want.

I can always make more money, but never get my time back.

Now book the darn tickets already, hit the button and then scream Im going to Disney followed with a happy dance should do well.

Thanks for the support. You are all right. I worked for the money. I will enjoy the trip. I will enjoy the family time. We will all love it.

lauradis - you made me laugh. Then, I followed your advice. I am booked!!! (I'm still a little nervous, but I'm getting used to the idea.) Time for the dance!

I did it! Glad I'm not the only one who hesitate to commit. So far I don't regret it! It is all seeming more real. So, I say go for it!

YAY good for you! we usually drive from Houston to Orlando but after last years 2 day/16 hour trip I vowed this year we were flying..but as you know..the minute you buy those flights your fate is sealed ! lol We dont go till August 16th but I know time is running out, we just need a swift kick up the pants to do it..hehe

I am just like you Whatname. I have a hard time pulling the trigger. But love the fact SWA is so lenient about canceling. Make me feel a little bit more accepting of booking the trip. Once you are at the airport you will think, "why did this bother me so much". And before long you are planning your next trip.

I believe southwest opens up on May 14, at least that was the date a couple of weeks ago.

I broke my foot a few years ago and had to cancel a trip a month before and did not have trip insurance. Our flights were on another airline (not SW) and had been bought with some cash and some vouchers. We did not get a refund and the change fees were almost as much as purchasing new flights. That's why I only fly SW now. It also helps that SW has an excellent credit card point system and bonus points when signing up. This will be the third time we have all 4 flights to Orlando for free.

Life is too short, buy the plane tickets and have a good time. You won't regret it. It may help to fly Southwest as you can cancel up to 10 minutes before a flight and get credit. Also know any airline you buy tickets from you can get a full refund for up to 24 hours after purchase. This may ease your mind to go ahead and buy.
