My family is going on the land/sea in September. I dont know when I should start making reservations for things. We want to do a character breakfast and the dolpin excursion in Nassua. Where do I find information regarding things to do?

Please help!! :sad2:

I'm not sure if there is a character breakfast on the land/sea as I have only been on the 7 day. Before you pay for a character breakfast on land ( I am assuming that's what you are referring to) I would check to see if there is a character breakfast on your cruise. All the characters come around to your table and take pictures with each of the children. They love it.

As far as what to do in Nassau, first check the disneycruise.com website. You will find all the Disney sponsored excursions and the recommended ages and prices. If this is your first cruise, you should be able to book it right on line after final payment as early as 90 days before you sail. Also, be sure to book your children in the childrens programs, and any Palo or Spa appointments you desire.

Try "google"ing for shore excursions in Nassau, and you will also discover other things to do there. It has been my experience that Disney does extensive screaning with the third party vendors they offer through the cruise line. Knowing that, they are probably your safest bet if you don't know what you plan to do, but, they aren't your only bet!

Have fun! I hope to do the Western some day! I would like to see what Atlantis is like before booking a vacation there. Great way to check it out without having to totally "check in".... :cool1:

First off, there is no character breakfast on the 3/4 night sailings, so you'll have to make reservations for those while in WDW. You can reserve excursions 90 days in advance (I don't know if those rules changed with the new on-line booking, but you do have to be paid in full) if you call DCL. Just have your reservation number and you can book the excursion, your on-board account will be charged.

If you have never cruised with Disney before, I believe you can start making shore excursion ressies at 75 days out from your sail date, assuming you've paid your cruise fare in full. You'll also be able to make Palo & Spa ressies at that time. YOu can do this through your travel agent, through the disney cruise line web page, or through Disney directly if you are not working with a travel agent.

If you're not working with a travel agent, and you are feeling decidely lost, you might consider one transfering your reservation from Disney to one of the agencies who specialize in Disney. I called my agent at Small World Vacations yesterday to make the final payment and start making reservations for Palos and the like. (returning cruisers can make ressies a little earlier than new guests). I've worked with Dreams Unlimited in the past. Both are great. Because they specialize in Disney, they have great recommendations and can help you find the things you want.
