Hello Friends,

I will be honeymooning in Orlando between Feb 24, 2003 through March 1, 2003 for a total of FIVE nights.

Basically we will have FOUR days in Orlando, during which we plan to spend the entire day in the park.

We would like a nice clean hotel which has some sort of free/paid shuttle service to the parks or reasonable taxi fares.

We are not looking for the Grand Floridian, rather something a bit less fancy, which is comfortable, clean, safe.

In the past I have stayed in the Wydham Orlando on International Drive and that met most of the criteria above, however, the room was a bit shabby.

PLEASE HELP ME. I NEED TO BOOK NOW.

Thanks
Andy

Hi Andy2002,

First of all, welcome to the DIS! Although I haven't stayed there for many years, the Radisson Resort at the Parkway comes to mind. There is an ad for it here on the DIS and Mary at Mousesavers.com recommends it as well. There have been several positive posts on this hotel too. It was pretty nice when I was there, but it has since been refurbished. I believe there is a free shuttle, and the pools look great. Wish I had more input for you...but hopefully others can post about their experience as well. Good luck and have a great trip!

Before you choose, search the boards for comments and input on experiences in various hotels. My negative ones were in Ramada Limited and Holiday Inn.

Don't expect much of shuttle transportation. It is best to rent a car than depend on that service. It is late, uncomfortable and not very regular. Many guests' impressions are located on the transportation board, you can get an idea of people's experiences by reading them.

I'd still look up codes in mousesavers.com that allow you to book an onsite room only reservation in a value hotel, providing you a safe place to stay with early entrance privileges and reliable, regular transportation. In the end, it is well worth it.

hi, i agree that you should check for codes to stay on-site at a value resort.
