Hi all! I am going to Disney for the first time in Aug. :cool1: Due to how well I have budgeted I find that if I continue to be dedicated to our set budget I can easily plan another dept free trip next year. I'm thinking Universal would be great. My problem is I don't know where to find really good info on everything Universal.:confused3 With Disney it was so easy...go to their site, order info CD, check out options for hotels, transportation...well you all know! Everything was there in plain view! Is there a link or a site I can use that is as informative as Disney's. I made all my own quotes, price comparisons etc myself and was hoping to do the same for Universal. Any info would be great!

read the stickies for a start.

it will answer a lot of your questions before you even think of asking about them....

and, the forums are a good source for universal help.

I find that planning for US isn't as complex as planning for WDW. Maybe I'm different, but it just seems like you can just let the day happen at US/IOA without scheduling dining, when/where to greet characters, and we don't do a tour plan. Our days at US/IOA seem to be more relaxing than those at WDW because we don't try to follow a plan. We just let the fun happen, and we've never been disappointed.

Of course, we haven't stayed on-property, so that could be factor in planning.

I agree with macraven, hang out here for a while to learn more. I ordered a vacation planning video from US a few years ago. I assume you could still do so. Some of the Orlando-area guidebooks (as opposed to WDW guidebooks) should have some US/IOA info included.

Have a fabulous August trip!:daisy:

Been doing US since 93. Once we found the Disboards learned alot on the DARKSIDE.Read away and ask we are deff here to help:thumbsup2

Buy Kelly Monaghan's book: Universal Orlando - The Ultimate Theme Park Experience

It is to Universal Resort what UOG is to WDW ;)
