Hello to all! I'm new to your forum and I've really learned a lot from reading your posts. My husband and I were just at Disney in July for our honeymoon and now we're going back January 2-7 for a second honeymoon in 6 months! I'm trying to work out an itinerary. Here's what I have so far. I would appreciate any suggestions or comments.

Friday: Arrive and check in mid-afternoon. Dinner with friends who live in Orlando, then just hang out and explore the resort. (Staying at Port Orleans Riverside.)

Saturday: Animal Kingdom first thing. Back to resort in afternoon, then priority seating at Tony's in the Magic Kingdom (6:30), go there and eat, see the parade and fireworks, maybe walk around a bit depending on the crowds to see all the decorations (if they're still up). MK is open until midnight on this day.

Sunday: MGM during the day, then Fantasmic. Pleasure Island/Downtown Disney at night.

Monday: Epcot in the late morning, break in the late afternoon, then back to Epcot to see Illuminations at 9:00. (We currently have PS at Le Cellier for around 6:00, but might not use them. Opinions??)

Tuesday: Magic Kingdom during the day, Pleasure Island at night.

Wednesday: Flight home is at 2:40.

Something I'd like to add is maybe a carriage ride or a nice dinner.

Let me know if you have any comments. Sorry this is so long!

Thanks!! :Pinkbounc

We're going to be down for the same dates, only it will be our 20th anniversary. I was so excited to see that the MK is open until midnight on Saturday. We have ps for dinner in the castle and then we'll catch the 9pm wishes and 10pm Spectro. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that some of the decorations will still be up. We don't have anything planned for Sunday yet, but we thought maybe MGM in the morning and then over to ESPN at the boardwalk to watch some afternoon football. I think it's wildcard weekend. Our plans for Monday are the same as yours also, we're spending it in Epcot. We've planned an early dinner at Teppanyaki this time around. Tuesday will include AK in the morning and then we're going to try out the Adventurers Club at Pleasure Island. I was considering the carriage ride also, but I don't know if it would be too chilly for that. I haven't seen any comments from Dis'ers who've done this in the winter months.

Our last trip down we ate at Jiko's in the AKL. I thought it was terrific. We arrived early and checked out the animals and the lodge. What a beautiful spot. Dinner was quiet and relaxing. We've also eaten at the Contemporary Grill. The view is amazing and if you time it right, you can see the fireworks from MK, but we found it to be a bit noisy and not quite so romantic. I guess it all depends on what you're looking for.

Have a great time and who knows, maybe we'll bump into you two newlyweds at some point.
