Calling all Old Key West Resort lovers. I've stayed at many resorts but never OKW. We are staying for the first time in May and always plan one day of relaxing at our resort. We would love some advice from the OKW pros on how you would spend your resort day.

-Arrival drink from the Gurgling Suitcase

-Tennis

-Paint a wine glass or make another fun crafty thing at the Community Hall

-Chill out in the hammock behind the pool

-Try to figure out how to play bumper pool

-The water slide at the main pool is actually quite a fun one

-Campfire

-Mobile Order dinner from Olivia’s if you have a 1BD or higher, and eat it on the patio

-Movie (“Under the Stars”)

Have fun!!!

I forgot to check this out when we stayed at OKW- it’s still posted on WDW’s site:
“A sauna is also available beneath the lighthouse by the main pool.”

It’s such a serene resort to just chill on your patio for a while too. Maybe get some nice pics of the wildlife. And don’t miss the fried chicken dinner at Olivia’s!

Hop on the boat to Disney Springs, grab lunch, shop, .... Take the boat back to Riverside/port Orleans... take a carriage ride at Riverside....
If I take the boat to Riverside, will I be able to get back to OKW directly? Or after my carriage ride, will I have to go back to Disney Springs to switch boats to the one that goes to OKW? I thought OKW and Riverside had different boats.

For the OP, if they still rent surrey bikes at OKW, rent one and ride around OKW.

Love these suggestions. I'm a sucker for a hammock.

No direct boat from Riverside to OKW.
You have to go back to Disney Springs and change boats. But the good thing is the boats are at the same dock now.

We always enjoy a game of shuffleboard! Then refreshments at the Gurgling Suitcase!
