I will be in Orlando the 3rd week of September, staying onsite at WDW. I want to do a day a US/IOA since it has been awhile since I was last there. It will just be me and my two children ages 11 & 6.

Since I probably won't be doing any thrill rides, what do you suggest I do with kids in this age range?

Do you think it is possible to get in the family attractions at both parks in one day? Or just plan a future tip w/more days and DH?

I noticed that the parks close at 6pm does that mean US expects light crowds or is this normal?

I also would like to do the Simpsons ride, is this a simulated ride like the Back to the future and Jimmy Neutron rides? I DON'T do simulated rides at all:sick: I can do all kinds of coaster but do not put me in anything enclosed with a screen.

I can tell you that my children are 9 and 6 and LOVE Universal. I don't know if you can get all of Universal/IOA in one day. We always stay onsite and that makes it possible to do a whole lot in a day. My kids LOVE

Men In Black
Jimmy Neutron
Spiderman
Cat in the Hat
Jurrasic Park
Flying Unicorn
Terminator

I hope you enjoy your trip! I would go for it and get a taste of what it is like there. You will most definately return. This is our 3rd trip in 3 years!

Here are a few more to add: Shrek (a 3D movie with the seats moving a little, Disaster, ET, Twister.

You will be missing the start of HHN this year so you should be good with the crowds. When the parks close at 6pm (which is the regular closing time) the crowds aren't bad at all. You should be good. :thumbsup2

The Simpsons is a simulator ride.
:guilty:

I guess I won't be experiencing the Simpson then!
I think we will go for it! Tenatively I am planning to go in Mon 9/15 so I hope it won't be too crowded and we will have an opportunity to see everything the kids want to do.
Are there any particular dining locations I should try for lunch?
