My travel package through AAA and Disney includes a character breakfast. Not knowing which is better, please comment on the different locations, and which is possibly better than another.

We are a family of 5 with DD16, DS9 and DD9.

Thanks....

All I can say is WOW! I didn't expect to see the results so lopsided. What is so special about Goofy's Kitchen that makes it "the place to go!"?

Thanks...

dunno, while I thought the food was good at Goofy's, I was disappointed with the character interaction. We got placed behind a partition and seen only one character during the whole meal. CM's did not feel obligated to address my concern either. I figured that since we were behind this wall, that the characters would make a point of not missing anyone unfortunate enough to be seated there. I was wrong.

I think it's because, so far, most people have only gone to Goofy's Kitchen. I'm a So Cal resident, and I've been to GK many times, but I have yet to try any of the other character meals. I know that for a long time I didn't even know that Storyteller's did a character meal with C&D. And until I started reading these boards, I didn't know that they had started doing a Princess breakfast at DL. Actually, until I read this very post, I didn't even know that they were doing a Lilo & Stitch meal at PPH. LOL So, for me, while I would very much like to try the other options, I've really enjoyed every visit I've made to GK and that's the only one I'm able to give an opinion on (and I didn't vote in the poll for this very reason).

:earsgirl:

Right now I can only give you my opinion on the breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen. The food was good but not spectacular, but it was a buffet so there's really only so much you can expect. The character interaction was great when we were there. My niece was 9 mos old, my nephew was 4 at the time and we were visited by almost every character. My niece loved Snow White so she actually sat down and played with her for a little bit.

We leave in 11 days for another vacation and this time we are trying the Lilo & Stitch breakfast at PPH, so I can give you my 2 cents on that one when we return.

I've been to all of the locations for character breakfasts some time in the past (although not necessarily with the current character cast). Here are my reasons for choosing GK.

I've always had excellent character interaction (B9erSteve, I don't know what happened with you!)
The character variety and number is good.
They have a large buffet offering good variety
Food quality is pretty darn good.
Longer hours
It's just a really fun place.

In comparison-
My experience at Storyteller's was good, but the number of characters wasn't as high and it just lacked the fun/Goofiness of GK.

Same for PP (Lilo and Stitch at PCH) as Storytellers'. The food variety was better suited for kids at GK.

The Plaza Inn is a bit too big with the indoor and outdoor seating. Consequently, the characters can take a long time to get to your table. This appears to be a problem if you do not get a really early seating, but I personally would rather be riding rides first thing. I think the food quality and variety is better elsewhere. It can be a really fun place though.

Another thought: I had a AAA character breakfast coupon on a previous trip, and I was able to use it a noon at GK. I really like having a character meal at lunch time after spending the morning riding rides (before the parks get crowded). The food variety is great at noon and the characters seem to have more time to spend with you at lunch when the meals are little more leisurely.

My meals at Goofy's have always been great. The service, character interaction and food is always good. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the Princess Breakfast at Plaza Inn (food only mediocre and characters didn't all come around - had to send a CM to get some of them for us) and Ariels Grotto (very poor service, many times couldn't even find our server and the food was not worth the price).

We loved GK last summer! LOVED It! But I have not been to any of the others, so I can not honestly vote!

I think several of those are new! That is great!

Hi, I have been very blessed to have gone to all four of them. I would say my favorite is Goofy's. Food wise- it seemed like there were more choices, especially for kids (a lot of deserts), plus peanut butter and jelly pizza!. There's also a very small section of lunch items, such as macaroni & cheese, hot dogs, and pizza. We had early resies and had lots of character interaction. I thnk it's great for girls and boys.

I noticed you had a little boy, too so while the princess breakfast is really nice, It's mostly princesses that are there, but sometimes they have the beast or prince charming there. I liked the food, not a big buffet, but the basics. Omeletts made to order, panakes, sauges, etc.

My dh took me and some family members to the lilo and stitch breakfast yesturday. We had such a good time! They don't have a really big buffet, but they have most of the old favorites. My dd and nieces had a little hula lesson and got to dance with the characters. They play music from the movie and some hawaiian music. My 16 year old stepbrother even enjoyed it.

The storytellers breakfast was okay. The food was really good (like the L&S breakfast you can choose between buffet or menu). We went in March of last year and the characters stayed in the front the whole time (I don't know if it's changed since then) and the characters were swarmed. Everyone was cutting so we had a hard time getting a pic of my dd with the characters. they did have a conga line though which was fun.
