I've currently have booked a 10 nite stay at all star sports with the QS dining plan for my daughter's middle school graduation/14th birthday. For the same price, I could take off the dining and switch to POFQ. I need the expert opinion of all you teens: Which would you like better?

Personally, I would prefer the QSDP. A dining plan really does make things more simple and easy, especially at the register. That way you guys could pick whatever you want to eat, without worrying about the price.

But, on the other hand, POFQ is a really beautiful resort.

Well, I'd choose POFQ.

It's a beautiful resort and I really loved how well themed it was. It's also the smallest of the mods and has a very quaint feel.

POFQ. It's a family favorite, and a nicer resort in my opinion.

No question. Go for the POFQ. That is the resort I stay at and as a teen I totally love it. Good food court, awesome pool which is close enough to all the rooms that she can go off to swim while you sleep in the room, and the busing from the resort is really good.

And from what I have read/heard from other sources, the dining plan often leaves people w/ more food than they can eat. Personally I wouldn't want to be tied down by having to be at the restaurant and this time...I'd rather do the attractions and eat at my convenience.

The dining plan she's talking about only includes quick service locations like Cosmic Rays, Pecos Bills, etc. You don't need ADRs for those places.

And the bussing at the Sports is actually really good, since they're the first of the all-stars to be picked up and dropped off.

POFQ. I only say this because I know the dining plan is way more than we could eat in a day and we're actually losing money if we do the dining plan. (We picked out all the resturants, food we'd order, snacks, etc. The cost of 3 meals a day and two snacks came out less then what we'd pay for the dinning plan.)

This is just for our family, personally. It would depend on what you'd order and what resort you think best. I love the All Star resorts though, nothing wrong with them.
Good luck on your decision!

I'd go with POFQ. With QSDP, you're not even really saving that much money. We found that out planning a trip like a week ago. POFQ is a beautiful resort, and the boat to DTD is the best!
Have fun on your trip!

i love POFQ it's my favorite of the moderates and has a really great theme. it's beautiful there the pool is so great too :)
I've done the dining plan with my mother twice and it really is just a TON of food for just me and my mom to eat by ourselves, I don't know what it's like to do the dining plan with a whole family but regardless...it's a lot of food lol

Definately POFQ. I had a look round there when me and my family went for a meal there, and it is gorgeous (: have fun!

Thanks you all your opinions! I called last night and dropped the dining plan and switched to POFQ from Sports. I feel happy about me decision because I don't think my DD and I will eat that much food. I think we'll enjoy hanging out by that awesome pool at POFQ. :thumbsup2 I also think we'll enjoy the boat ride to DTD every night *** we LOVE to shop!!!:woohoo:
Thanks again for all your replies.

Well, if it were my family, the dining plan.

But it really depends on how many there are of you.

If there are only 2/4 people, I suggest POFQ, but the DP is great for large families like us.
