I was hoping for some help/opinions.

Backstory.... Last year we had GF Sugarloaf booked for our 9 year wedding anniversary. We were married at the GF and our reception was at the Boardwalk so celebrating at Disney is sentimental. We were traveling with my then 19 month old and we were set to arrive just a few days after the horrible alligator attack. It was a little too close to home and I was a wreck thinking about being there with my toddler (not for fear of safety, just from sadness of the situation). We switched to a split stay between Beach Club Stone Harbor and the Poly.

This year is our tenth anniversary. So of course I want to celebrate at Disney. I was thinking of doing a private dinner at the GF because V&A's is not an option when traveling with a 2 1/2 year old. I am so torn on where to stay. I really want to stay at GF but we probably can't swing Royal Palm (depends on codes) so we would most likely stay in Sugar Loaf. GF is great because we will most likely be spending 2 or 3 park days at MK. Still, I could probably stay at BC Stone Harbor (the pool is great for my toddler but we have stayed there twice in the last year) or Boardwalk CL (because we stayed there on our wedding night in a garden suite) for up to 1k less. We have stayed at all of the deluxes and have stayed at BW, Beach, and Poly concierge level so trying something new is not a point because there isn't too much new to us. I just want good service, food and amenities.

What would you all do? What do you recommend for a 10th anniversary trip with a toddler, or what is your favorite? We are DVC and have AP's so I should be able to secure some kind of discount....

Thank you all for your help and insights!!!

I think a strong argument for BC/BW is that they're closer to Sandcastle Club than GF is to Lilo's Playhouse, if your child is trained enough to drop off for an evening.

The minimum age for the Kid's Club is 3, so not an option for the OP.

I'm a mother of 3 and convenience is always a big factor, after budget. In your place, I would choose the GF option that fits your budget, it's the most convenient for your touring plans, and it's where you really want to stay.

Thank you!

The kids clubs are not yet an option for us. (Hopefully soon lol).

My heart is leaning toward GF but I have been reading reviews of how loud Sugarloaf is and we are not sure we can swing RC. So that would mean a standard room or elsewhere.

Maybe an upper floor would be a request option?

I voted for the Boardwalk. I feel that the Epcot resort are offers the best adult experience on site. Walking distance to two parks and the other resorts.

Thank you. It has been a while since we stayed at the BW have you been recently? Wondering on people's experiences.

Yes. For us the GF wins for location because we will be spending alot of time at MK and we may skip HS this time around.

GF, CL or not, because you love it and because your MK plans. Or if CL is that important to you, CR CL or Poly CL to maintain your MK proximity. (Out of all three, I'd actually choose CR.)

I voted GF, because you were married there...good nostalgia. Plus, it's my favorite resort. :)

That being said, we did our 10th anniversary at WL CL with our 2 girls at the time and it was fantastic!!!

We are celebrating 15 years this summer at Poly CL with our 3 kiddos! Can't wait!

Happy Anniversary!!

If you like spending time in the lounge and RPC isn't in the budget, I would choose BC or BWI. I've never stayed CL at either (and have never stayed at BWI), but have stayed RPC and SL and while the food offerings are the same in both, the lounges are worlds apart. I found the SL lounge small/chaotic, with more of a cafeteria feel to it. Since the lounge is located in the center of the lobby as you enter the SL building, there are no windows/views and the atmosphere just isn't very relaxing (just my opinion). On the other hand, RPC is amazing with a spacious lounge and great views. If RPC wasn't an option for me, I'd choose a GV room over staying SL again (that's just me). Good luck.

It has been quite a while since we stayed at the BWI. We are now snowbirds. We did walk over to the Boardwalk during one of our Epcot visit last year and wandered through the lobby and it looked just like it always did. Then we enjoyed an ice cream on the Boardwalk, one of our favorite Boardwalk things to do.

Thank you for the feedback. That was exactly what I was wondering. Theme Park view is the same price as SL. So if RPC is not in the cards it may be best to forgo CL all together and go for the view since we will be in the room nightly while my toddler sleeps!

Happy anniversary to you as well. Poly is magical in the evenings and I loved watching wishes from the lounge.
