I'm going to suprize my DD with a trip to Disneyland.:cheer2: Its going to be agirls only just me DD and my mom. Very excited.

I have two dates that I can't pick between.

The first if April 19-22. I looked and the DL calandar and the times are from 10am- 8pm. which is perfect because that means they aren't expecting big crowds. BUT the matterhorn will be closed the whole time. She loved loved that ride. And I'm worried that maybe there is something going on because the Disneyland hotels all have high rates. I know because of spring break but I would have thought it was done by then. At least for the most part.

Second dates are May 3-7. the matterhorn will be open. but Big thunder will be down. Her second faviort big girl ride. So I'm not sure what day to pick. Also All of the Disneyland hotels are and there cheapest in May. So I'm not sure what to do. We most likely won't be staying onsite but I usualy use there price to determin if they think it will be busy. :confused3 Its weird but it works for me.

I love the april dates because I feel like I have been waiting forever and I dont want to wait. But May isn't that far away.

So my amazing DIS friends please help me pick a date. :flower3:

I'll be there right before your April dates, and the only thing I can think of that may make hotel rates higher is the food and wine festival. That starts on the 16th (I believe?) but I was told it shouldn't effect crowd levels too bad, since it will be a lot of AP holders coming just for the festival. :)

Well either way, one of her favorite rides will be down. I'd pick May only because it will be cheaper and allow you to use the extra money that would be used on a hotel in April on other things. Or you can casually ask DD which ride is a "must" and go from there - that way she won't be so disappointed.

Thank you guys, I'm still not sure about what days. I can't ask DD because I want to keep it a secret and supprize her. :D

I may go with April because I feel like I'm going to burst with excitment if I wait in tell May.
