Beaches & Cream: Love it here and I think it's a great place for lunch for a hondeymoon. FYI-they do not take reservations, so plan to get there either mid afternoon or right when they open.
Biergarten: Love it here! Great band as well!
Via Napoli: Haven't tried it yet, but it gets great reviews!
Sci Fi Dine in Theatre: Really cool theming-you will have a great time here!
50's Prime Time Cafe: We go here every trip-it's alot of fun and great food!
Liberty Tree Tavern: Lunch is fantastic

Thank you!! All this help is amazing. I haven't decided whether we are going to do a breakfast out or not. Neither one of us are big breakfast eaters. Go out to breakfast maybe once or twice every, six months. But i feel like maybe we should at least just do one during the week. We are driving so just planned on bringing some things for that. So, talked to the fiance, and in the middle of trying to decide where to eat for dinner, we decided we are going to do a breakfast one day We are going to be spending a day at Universal, so we think we are going to breakfast somewhere first, early, then going to Universal. As of right now, we think we are going to do Boma. We will be at CSR so this would be closer. anyone have any suggestions for the BEST place to have breakfast. Please remember, not something FULL of kids. We are okay with noise but crazy kids everywhere might not be our best location. THANKS EVERYONE!

Hey everyone! was hoping some veterans could help me make some decisions on which restaurants are good for both food AND service. I am a waitress, so I am not crazy but appreciate a good server when I see one. When we go DH will be 30 and I will be 24. We will be on the DDP in September for 6 nights/7 days. So far, we have narrowed it down to these places:

ESPN Club We always come here to eat and watch a football game, pretty good food
Big River Grille & Brewing Company
Beaches & Cream Several years ago I thought this place had a really good burger, not so much now, good ice cream though
Yachtsman Steakhouse Excellent!
Beirgarten We love Beirgarten, good food and entertainment
Coral Reef
Le Cellier LOVE the mushroom filet and cheddar cheese soup!
Via Napoli Best pizza!! A must do for us!
Planet Hollywood
Sci Fi Dine in Theatre My kids love this place, for me not so great
Moma Melrose's This place gets mixed reviews, we liked our dinner but that was in 06...wasn't good enough for a return trip
50's Prime Time Cafe So much fun!! I really like the food too. Honestly the best milkshake ever!
Liberty Tree Tavern I love LTT! Great food!
Yak/Yeti Yum! This is our must do in AK!
Whispering Canyon Cafe This is one of our favorites, we love the food!

Others I would suggest are Kona Cafe, they have an amazing teriyaki steak, O'hana, my favorite, and Ragland Road, it's an Irish Pub with really great food! You said your husband is a picky eater, if he likes steak he will love Ragland Road, their steak is really good! Very cool atmosphere and they have a band and dancers!

My fiance is a very simple eater, doesn't like a TON of things, so I already went through the menus to choose what places would have things he would like. We don't plan on doing Cali Grill, which has been suggested lots of times. Thanks for everyone's help

HAHA!!!! Yes, i know! the dark side! But my fiance's favorite movie is jaws, so i promised we would go on the lamest ride there, oh i mean the jaws ride Plus, we are going to Margaritaville to get his fav. beer, Land Shark. Since so much of the wedding was for me, I had to do this for him! I think Boma might be our pick..

In terms of food AND service, the two best experiences I've had on Disney property were at Narcoossee's (Amer was the server) and Flying Fish (Bob was the server). The way the servers interacted with us during the meal was very different, but they were both professional, worked with us, and made it seem like everyone actually wanted us to be eating at that particular restaurant, which is really what you'd like to see.

My favorites from your list are Coral Reef and the Yachtsman Steakhouse. I think both have great food and atmospheres. The service at the Coral Reef can be slow and the room's acoustics make it a bit loud, but I think enduring those things is worth it.

Thank you for the advice!! service is not the biggest thing, but i can truly appreciate a good server. It is always nice finding someone who actually cares about their job like I do.

First off Congratulations!!!

Here's my two cents from the places on your list I have tried...

ESPN club is a nice dinner, but I don't know if I would recommend it for your honeymoon. The food is good, and we had a pretty decent server, but I wouldn't think its anything special (its a chain restaurant). If your fiance is really into sports then I'm sure he would appreciate it but again, it's going to be loud (especially if there's a good sports game on). Planet Hollywood I wouldn't do for the same reason, a chain restaurant you can visit other times when not at Disney world

Beaches and Cream is really great, but I would only go there for dessert! The food selection is pretty common and there isn't a lot of seating area in there (if it's busy, you will be sat pretty much on top of other people). I would recommend getting some ice cream to go and walking around the beach club area which is beautiful (especially at night)

I see that a lot of your choices are in the Epcot resort area, and I would HIGHLY recommend looking into Kouzinna. I tried it for the first time in May and all of the food we got was delicious! Our server was great and the ambiance of the restaurant was really beautiful!

I also don't know if I would recommend Biergarten, although I've never eaten there.. the reason I have never eaten there is because you sit family style and will be sat with other families (not that theres anything wrong with that but if your looking for some alone time you may not get to have it when your sitting with other people and their children at your table)... The upside is you might get sat with a great family you can talk to and have a good dinning experience with, but you never know

The Sci-Fi dine in experience is amazing! The set-up of the restaurant is amazing and we had a great server who "stole" my sisters camera and went into the back of the restaurant.. later when we were looking over pictures we had taken, we noticed that the server went into the kitchen and took some pretty funny pictures getting into a "fight" with other servers. However, I wouldn't rate the food here of high quality... It's good, but nothing special

The others I haven't really tried, but I WOULD recommend if your looking for a nice dinner that's not a signature dinning experience to look into Ohana's or Les Chefs De France. I've been to both on multiple occasions (they are two of my favorites). The food at Les Chefs de France is amazing and the location and ambiance is pretty romantic. At Ohana's it might be a little loud depending on if they have entertainment going on, but also you can go watch Wishes on the Polynesian beach after dinner, or just walk around the hotel grounds (which is really romantic at night!)

Me and FDH are BOTH huge sports fans, so ESPN club i think is going to already be on our list. Planet Hollywood is out, and i think beaches and cream and biergarten as well. Sci Fi may still be a contender. We are okay with not doing anything signature. We are really into those types of places, even on our honeymoon. We want to enjoy ourselves, and I don't think we would enjoy the food there. Simply, no fru fru Haha. i am sure they are amazing places, but we like burgers and chicken! lol

Sci Fi Dine in Theatre -Food is good and atmosphere is fun here.

Moma Melrose's - Another place we really enjoy. Good food.

50's Prime Time Cafe - Good food and service can be very fun if you get the right cast member.

Liberty Tree Tavern - Good food and experience.

Yak/Yeti - Love this place. Great food. Service is sometimes rushed.

Whispering Canyon Cafe - Another place that service can be fun if you get the right cast member. We have always enjoyed the food here.

Coral Reef: the atmosphere can't be beat (enormous fish tank that covers an entire wall) and the waiter we had was excellent.

Le Cellier: ate here twice, it can be a tough reservation to get and dinner now takes 2 credits, lunch 1. Both times our servers were wonderful.

Sci Fi: I've ate here many times and the atmosphere is incredible. It really feels like you are at a drive in movie under the stars. Also never had a bad server here.

Yak/Yeti: good food, and here we had our favorite waiter of the trip.

Coral Reef - we did a dinner here once and liked it well enough, but it wasn't one of our favorites.
Le Cellier - the opinions here are so polarizing...I think my husband found it somewhat overrated, however my parents called this their best meal ever. Literally. I'd recommend it, especially for lunch.
50's Prime Time Cafe - I wouldn't even consider taking my husband here, I think he'd be humiliated at the service, lol. I understand it's tongue-in-cheek and I know some people love it, but I think it's more geared towards families than a 20s/30s couple.
Liberty Tree Tavern - highly recommend. We just did this for dinner, and the food is very traditional, and very well done, and we had a spectacular server who gave us his full attention even during a very busy service.

Well I am 29 and a picky eater. I just went to a couple of your restaurant choices with my GF just this past September. We both have also served in the past.

Via Napoli was very good. This was one of our favorites meals. The chicken parm was very good.

Mama Melrose was our worst meal by far. It is honestly the only real complaint I had about our TS meals. The food is comparable to Olive Garden which is fine but the service was terrible. We didn't get seated until 45 minutes after our ADR. When we got seated our service was below average. The place seemed understaffed and chaotic. There was empty tables not bussed on both sides of us for the entirety of our dinner which took 90 minutes, no apps, no desserts.

One suggestion I can make which is only one Credit is Wolfgang Puck's. Their Nut Crusted chicken was excellent and the service was also very good.

I didn't try any of the other restaurants you posted. Congratulations and have a blast.

Thank you so much everyone!! I am keeping tally of what everyone has said to try and come to a decision. right now, we have chosen ESPN Club, Yak/Yeti, Sci Fi Dine In Theater, and Boma (for breakfast). So we have two more TS credits to use, which I think is going to be a hard decision.

Le Cellier was excellent! They have wonderful desserts (I had the maple creme brulee, YUM) and very yummy pretzel bread sticks to start off with. My boyfriend and I both had the Filet Mignon with a mushroom risotto and ate until we were about to pop! Darker atmosphere that makes you feel as though you are in a wine cellar (hence the name) but very romantic as well. We sat in a back corner and thought it was very intimate.

Sci Fi dine in was also great. The atmosphere is VERY cool and you really do feel like you are at an old outdoor theatre. You sit in the back of a convertible car and eat on what would be the "dashboard". The milkshakes there are delish! You can either get it as your drink (included in the dining plan) or you can use a milkshake as your dessert option!

50's Prime Time was a riot! No elbows on the table, no hats and the servers are all hysterical! You feel like you are at Mom's kitchen table in 1950, the whole place is done up and very cool! I had the fried chicken and devoured it!

Coral Reef- Beautiful atmosphere because of the view of the reef. Not a bad spot in the house in terms of being able to see the tank. My boyfriend and I both had a fish dinner there and creme brulee again for dessert. Again ate until I felt like I was going to explode, everything was so yummy!!

The only place I would suggest you check out that is not on your list would be the California Grill. I ate there my last night and it was nice being able to watch wishes from high up. They have a great observation deck you can watch it from or if you are lucky and your table is by the window you don't even have to move. They play the wishes music and dim the lights during the whole thing. They even held our meal in the kitchen until it was over and we were ready to eat. Dressier place but most certainly worth it (2 dining credits)

Also!!! At Le cellier, can you get the "Le cellier experience" as part of the dining plan? Or is that not something that can be ordered for the DDP? It comes with an app, entree, and dessert, but is shown under entrees on the menu.

I commented on the restaurants we've been to.
We tried Rose & Crown this past August and sat on the patio for a late dinner to watch Illuminations. It was the best night of our vacation!!! The food and service were excellent! And we had front row seats for Illuminations it was the best. I would definately do this if you can fit it in. We are going again in April and I am making my ressie next week!!!
