We're on the Quick Service dining plan, but when we go to the Animal Kingdom, I was thinking about having a Table Service meal OOP. Where would you go? I could travel over to the AKL or just stay in the park. Opinions please.

DH and I have enjoyed Tuskar House in AK but we really like Boma at AK Lodge. I've heard Sanaa is wonderful also. It's in AK Villas. If you decide to stick with QS, you can't beat Flame Tree BBQ!

I remember eating in the Asia area - boys loved the rice - best meal they ate all week
We did the quick service plan too

next year we are doing the Donald Sarfi Breakfast - sounds fun & will be OOP for us

I like the idea of animal viewing, but looking at the menus and reviews, I'm not sure my kids 8 and 12 will be happy with the food choices. They're not very adventerous and like the standard kid type things and lots of raw veggies. Not too sure about the curry spices, etc.

It was really fun. We did it very late and it worked for lunch.

Boma is amazing and has some of the fun, different foods, but also has a kid friendly section with all the standbys. My very, very picky kids love it and I love all the unique choices for me.

The only TS meal I would consider in AK Park is Tusker House breakfast - other than that we really enjoy the CS meal - Flame Tree BBQ and Pizzafar (for the Hot Italian Sandwich and Antipasto salad) :)

In the animal kingdom we love to eat at Yak and Yeti, the food is really good. We had also eat at Rain Forest Cafe at the entrance of the park. But you can also take a bus and eat at Boma, the buffet is great.

Flame Tree BBQ is my favorite quick service in Animal Kingdom. That being said, I tried the Tusker House lunch for the first time on my Dec 2010 trip and was very pleasantly surprised! There was a wide variety of foods, enough for picky eaters who might like things like rotisserie chicken and rice, or kids' items they find on varied buffets.

But they had a variety of other foods like cous cous salad that were good, along with other interesting items that are not too wild for American palates and not the same boring food elsewhere. I was impressed enough with it to go again.

I did a walk around each station before I decided where I wanted to start on the buffet. I always do that to get the "lay of the land", so to speak.
