I'm having trouble deciding whether to book lunch for 3 adults at Liberty Tree Tavern or The Plaza Restaurant. Which would you pick & why?

Thanks!
Shelli

That's a tough one for me but I would go with The Plaza. LTT was one of my favorites up until this last trip. It wasn't bad last time but it was sadly not really good either. DH described it has a glorified TV dinner or a school cafeteria meal and I hate to say it but I agree. The Plaza on the other hand was surprisingly really good. My Reuben, DH's steak and cheese and the kids burgers were all great. Plus the shakes are fabulous.

I have been to both locations for lunch and I voted for Liberty Tree Tavern because I liked their food and atmosphere a lot better.

Liberty Tree, hands down. The Plaza is nothing more than a sandwich shop, with ice cream for dessert. Woo-hoo LTT has so much more to offer, in a lovely atmosphere, and their desserts are wonderful. While the sandwiches at the Plaza are good, the meals (and sandwiches also) at LTT are truly delicious.

Liberty Tree is much better than the Plaza restaurant. The Magic Kingdom does lack a top of the line sit down restaurant but the Liberty Tree is definitly at the top of the list

Plaza.

I have had good lunches at both, but the Plaza would win in a head-to-head between the two.

They are consistently good and to me, having a chicken-strawberry salad and an iced tea next to the window looking out at the hub and the castle is prime WDW dining. :goodvibes

Hi OP!

I've been to both for lunch, and I really enjoy both. It may depend on your other ADRs for the day. If you will have heavier meals at other times in the day, I'd suggest the Plaza for a light lunch. If lunch is your main meal of the day, Liberty Tree is fantastic. (For example, we booked the Plaza for our January trip when we have a same-day Ohana and Crystal Palace ADRs, and Liberty Tree in February when we have no breakfast ADR and dinner at Cali Grill much later in the day.)

If that doesn't matter and you are looking for the more unique Disney meal, then I'd go with Liberty Tree.

Have a great trip!! :wizard:

Haven't tried LTT for lunch yet, but The Plaza has been consistently good every time we've been to lunch there. :)

Plaza for lunch! It is lighter(although the sandwiches are huge) Just seems like a lunch place. LTT was good but IMO turkey and gravy for lunch is too much unless that is your big meal for the day. Plaza is like a little diner you might eat at at home.
Turkey sandwich, burgers, tomato soup and tuna sandwich. All good!

I liked both restaurants, but out of the two, I would choose LTT. I liked the atmosphere, service, and the food a bit more at LTT. The Plaza is a great place to get sandwiches and some ice cream, but if you want a sit down meal go with LTT :thumbsup2

We've been to both and prefer LTT. Plaza is just a sandwich/ice cream shop.

I prefer Columbia House myself but if I can only choose from your options I would choose LT for sure. Plaza as stated is only a sandwich shop.

Wow, DH and I like both. Based on who's going what do they prefer for lunch? The plaza has a great club sandwich. DH loves the turkey platter a LTT.

We love LTT for lunch! We only dined at The Plaza once, it was just so so, nothing great at all.

Also love Columbia House.

I have had dinner at Liberty Tree twice; once good and once not so good.

Liberty Tree Tavern won by a landslide! I made reservations for us & am looking forward to a great lunch. Thanks everyone!
