Help me pick a hotel!

we are 4. 2 adults and 2 kids. We don't need a suite (army family we stay in regular size hotel rooms a lot!) but I want a decent place and a clean room with nice beds and of course a place where I feel safe. Thank You

We also have 4 (1 adult, 3 kids). I just called Desert Inn & Suites and booked the family suite for $109 a nite. Their website was showing $129 a nite for first 2 nights & $109 for 2nd 2 nights. By calling them direct, i was able to save $40.

Desert Inn is right across the street from the entrance. Comes with continental breakfast, free parking and free internet.

Tropicana is listed at $99 a nite for 2 queens; is also across the street. They didn't have larger rooms available.

Oh my God! I keep changing my mind, I go back and foward with Candy Cane Inn and the Fairfield Inn. Fairfield is cheaper when we book tru costco with a free character meal but Candy Cane gets really good reviews free parking and breakfast.

My husband is not helping  he told me to picked the one that I like the best. But once I did book a hotel online and it turn out really really bad and he always reminds me that! so that makes me nervous.

suggestions? what should I do?

thanks

OK. I'll throw another one out there. Have you looked at the Tropicana Inn & Suites? It's on the same side of Harbor as the Fairfield but not as far a walk. We have stayed there once. It was not my favorite but not bad. The room was large enough and clean. I don't remember feeling that the place was too noisy even though it was booked solid at the time. My in-laws took their other grandkids down last summer and stayed there and loved it and even reported enjoying the pool (we didn't use it during our stay). There is a free breakfast that is only slightly better than nothing, but I mention it because at least you can get a cup of juice or coffee and an unhealthy grocery-store type danish to get yourself going and then supplement with food of your own or food in the park. Check them out and plug in your dates and compare the prices; sometimes they have good "web only" and AAA rates.

On another note, did you ask the Candy Cane Inn about discounts when booking? I know they offer a discount for AAA members, and they also probably offer a discount to active members of the military.
