Hi all! My husband and I, along with our 7 and 3 year old, are trying to decide between two 2005 cruises. One is the Oct 22 - Western Caribbean cruise on Disney that will stop in Key West. The other is the Nov. 19 Western cruise that extends over Thanksgiving. They will be stopping in Castaway twice, and will forego Key West. We are pretty okay with either, but we've never cruised, so have no idea if they really do something special over Thanksgiving, or if Castaway is so special it is worth doing twice!

I'd appreciate any input you all might give!!

I can't find the Nov 19 2005 cruise anywhere. Even when I printed disney's schedule all I found was Nov 5. Where did you find it?

Castaway Cay is indeed very nice. However if you've never been to Key West, and don't anticipate a future visit there (or you do plan to vacation there and want a taste), then it is worth the stop.

I am with disneybill..if you have never been to key west..choose that one. It is great fun, even for the kids.

Not sure if cost is an issue - the Thanksgiving cruise would probably be more expensive due to the holiday, but hurricane season will be winding down by then. :) Thanksgiving on the ship would be a special memory.

October is cheaper, but it still includes hurricane season. If they decorate the ship for Halloween during that cruise, that would be special for the kids also. I've cruised during hurricane season for the great price, knowing the ship will alter it's path if needed. Good luck with your decision.
