Hi all...I need help here... We are staying 6 nights at WLV in Dec and originally our arrival date was Sat the 15th... but since we have about a 7 hour drive we have decided to leave Friday the 14th as soon as our son gets out of school. That way we will get there around midnight and sleep, get up early and go check in at WL, leave our luggage and head to the park early... this way we get more out of the day and won't be as tired early on Saturday as the MK is open til 1am:woohoo: my question is...we called today and booked a room at ASMusic for Friday night for $92..(they didn't have any $59. rooms for the AP code left... I wanted ASmovies but they said all they had for that night was Music... I was online at same time and it showed ASmovies for the same $92. but CRO didn't have it... so I booked with her and hung up...then I looked again for the AP rate and for $26 more we can stay at CSR... soooo should I just keep the room I have (after all we are really just sleeping there) or should I book online and change to the ASmovies... and is one better then any other at the ALL STAR RESORTS?:confused3 thanks in advance for all your input

I would think that since you are driving the location would really matter(you can leave the bulk of your luggage in the car etc). Really you don't even have to limit yourself to a WDW hotel. But since it seems like you do want to be onsite asap...I would go with the CSR. It is $26 dollars...if the money is not an object, just do it, infact did you check the price for WL(not the villas)...it just might be so worth the convience of knowing that you -even though you are at the same property -you won't be having to switch hotels.

Just my opinion.

thanks...I just checked the WL for the AP rate and they don't have any availability:headache: so maybe we will just go ahead and do CSR as we love it there anyways...and yes we plan to leave luggage in car and just use overnight bag for all of us:thumbsup2

I wouldn't chance from a value to a moderate for a midnight arrival. You won't really be spending anytime at the resort. The only change I might make is to a deluxe hotel so that I would have two queen beds instead of two doubles. That would make a difference to me because I need a lot of room to sleep and wouldn't be comfortable in a double; even with a child

We have even stayed offsite ( Doubletree Castle on I Drive) during spring break, then drove to the YC at 7:30 AM and found the room already available for us. We had a few glitches once we got to the room ( but that 's another story and was handled decently by the front desk), but we were checked in with luggage in room and standing at hte International Gateway before 9 AM. I definintely advocate the cheapest room, we spent, IMO, too much for the Doubletree but we actually got there by 6PM and wanted that general location for the dining options available, so it worked for us. We usually do what you're doing, wind up leaving after school or even do a noon check out (kids are marked present for the day) and drive down early.
