OK, I've always pulled my photos & then once I have them physically in my hands I choose a layout that fits how many I have.

How is it that some of you get your pages "kitted" BEFORE you have your photos? I do not understand how in the world this would work for me.

I kit pages based off the swap elements I have received... than add my photos and make adjustments are needed... or at least that is how I do it...

When I choose out the photos I am going to print I make notes on how I want to lay them out. I already have notes on how many photos I have. I tend to kit pages that I already have photos for or pages that I am printing photos in the sizes I need for.

I do pretty much what you do, although I look at the photos online and get an idea of what I want to do even before I get them home. The design can change once I have them in my hand.

I also sketch up general layouts when I have a second here or there, and sometimes pics just naturally fall into those.

I either have my photos in hand or print up a contact sheet with 20+ photos on a regular piece of paper to help me with colors. I use a lot of sketches too so I know what size pictures to print.

I still make kits after I have my photos too because I can never scrap at home, so I build kits and put them in 21/2 gallon ziploc bags or my power sort box. Then when I go to crops my pages are all together to be built.

Do you have photos of how it looks when you put everything in your bag to take elsewhere?

I'm sorry to be so obtuse, but I just cannot wrap my mind around the process.

I'm glad you asked, because I have no clue about kitting either. I guess I'm backwards........

I posted a kitting tutorial for a group of photos I kitted tonight. I took pictures as I worked along through my steps. I have not done titles or journaling for the kits yet so those pictures are not there at all.
