thinking a sit down meal would break up a long EPCOT day, we may try this is it a buffet or served family style like LTT?

It is served family style, but you will love it! We went this past Feb. and the characters came over more than once and actually spent lots of time with us. Played around a lot and it was tons of fun. I would recommend doing it for lunch so that you can get it over with and then head on to other things.

the food is great and the character interaction is great as well!! The resturant moves- I love that...

I took my two dd's here one day when it was raining and my dh was at conference. I think of it as a hidden gem! We loved it! The food was fresh, tasty, and definitely a cut above someplace like CM's. My dd's sort of overlooked the revolving restaurant concept, but I still enjoyed it. There were characters aplenty and the desserts were fab!

It is family style and the food is outstanding! We have never had a bad meal here. You'll love it!

what does "family style" mean exactly? My guys are really picky so we cant each order our own thing off the menu. I have a lunch booked there and I guess I missed the family style part.

Family style means that basically you get a plate full of different foods to share amongst your party. If you like something you can ask for another dish of that and if you don't think you want something off the menu, you can ask to not have it at all.

ok so I just went onto allears and looked at their menu, it has steak and chicken and adult like stuff and then it says "Young Gardeners" menu with chicken strips and mac and cheese so will they bring out say a bowl of mac and cheese for us all to share.

The kids like all the stuff listed on this Young Gardeners menu which is why I picked it, so i just want to make sure they can have that stuff before we get in there.

Thanks for the guidance.

these are pictures from their lunch meal in 2004 - menu may have changed since then...The child's stuff came in the platter off to the right.

Yuummmm....looks great!!! Thanks for the pics! I've been debating but think this seals it!:thumbsup2

Interesting pictures, I never saw things presented that way. THe frist time I ever heard anything about "family style" was a wedding I went to in Michigan, and it was served in separate bowls, potates in one, meat in another etc.

This looks like it was all seved together?

I dont hear much about "famly style" here in PA, is this a regional thing?

Thanks for the info!

That was the first time we ate family style too. All I know is it was good. If you more of anything. all you had to do was ask. Everything was good.

Well I fell better about my decision now. Thanks!

Does anyone else have any recent photos? We have been considering this place for our last two trips, but then always ended up not going. Now, we hopefully will make it there this next trip. Great comments so far!

Mkrop - You're in the wrong part of PA! Take a road trip to Lancaster, we have plenty of family style restaurants. :rotfl:

What is the differance between the lunch and dinner menu? Those pictures looked good!

Yeah and I live pretty close to you too. I guess I live a sheltered life:lmao: And I guess my trips to Dutch Wonderland over the years havent exposed me to it either. Oh well live and learn!

Our server brought out more than enough of the childs menu even though we only had one child. It was very yummy!!
