We will only have four days in the parks May 10, which is a Monday, May 11, May 12 and May 13. The cast is me, DH, DS (9), my sister, my two nieces (8 and 5) and my Mother 73, who is in excellent shape. We are going to the AK on Monday since it is EMH and MGM on Tuesday (again EMH), we wanted to take the kids to the sci-fi restuarant, so I made PS for Tuesday for 12:15 (the earliest I could get). Then after reading about fantamsic I decided to do the fantamsic dinner at H&V, but the only time they could take us there was 4:15, which would mean that we really wouldn't have time to go back to the hotel and rest (we are staying at the Pop), so that would make for a VERY long day.

Okay, that is the background---here is my question. Since you all have told me that the parks with EMH gets really crowded during the day, I'm thinking about this---tell me if you think it would be a good idea. On Monday, with the dino ride being down:( , do you think we could get out of the AK at around 3:00--go back to our hotel, rest a while, eat our dinner (we are bringing stuff to make sandwiches) and then around 6:30 head to MGM and watch fantamsic??? I'm assuming that the show will be around 8:00 or 8:30 that night. Do you think the crowds at MGM will be crowded on Monday evening?

That way on Tuesday we could go back to MGM for EMH do the rides eat at the sci-fi and then take an afternoon break at the hotel??? I'm trying to figure out how to get a lot done, but with breaks for the kids and my Mom.

That's definitely how I would do it. Leave AK, break at the hotel and then get in line for Fantasmic. I wouldn't try to do Sci Fi and the Fantasmic package on the same day. I think you'll have a wonderful time!

Just wanted to give you one comment about the AK. The afternoon parade - Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Expedition - is alot of fun. It is usually held at 3:00 or 4:00 every afternoon. We usually do not leave the park until after this parade. Don't know if your group is into parades or not but this one is alot of fun.
