I would like to stay in Disney during September....Which one would you choose......
$625.88-Hotel and Dining -40%

$742.18 Hotel and 3 day play passes.....No Dining....

What to do....What to do....

Decisions Decisions,....

Need a little more info, how many are in your party and where are you wanting to stay. This is usually a very easy answer, but if you were to give more info that would help.

OK, similar question. Here's the situation:

Free Dining - CSR: Room is $145/night for 6 nights. 1 adult for 6 nights, 1 addl adult for 3 nights. Two 1 day base tickets (I have an AP); d would upgrade one to a 3 day hopper. Total: $1168 + the additional cost of the ticket upgrade (Disney's site won't show me the cost right now; anyone know how much the 3 day hopper is?)

40% off - CSR: Room would be $89/night + tax, 1 adult for 6 nights, 1 addl adult for 3 nights (room total $569 incl tax), one 3 day park hopper from UT for $271 for an approximate total of $840. Then use the TIW for our TS and just eat counter service when desired.

Thoughts, anyone?

It is still hard to say, IMO. How many days are you going? Do you WANT the dining plan, or are you okay paying out of pocket for your meals? The cost of the dining plan is 39.99 per adult (per night booked for the resort) and 10.99 per child ages 3-9 (per night in hotel). What you buy for one, you have to get for all, so it's a possible $100 a night for you in the hotel. Does the 40% off the room rate save you more than the cost of the dining plan? If so, go with that, otherwise I'd take the free dining, if you are planning to use the plan.

Another option is to get the quick service plan, if you are wanting to save $. You could do the 40% and then the QS plan, which is $29.99 for adults & 8.99 for kids.

Okay, the numbers I see are that for 5 days/4 nights you can do this:

CBR (a moderate) with free dining & 5 day base MYW tickets: $1,680.24
ASMu (a value) with free dining & 5 day base MYW tickets: $1,246.42

The rack rate for the CBR for 4 nights is $671. 40% off of that is a rate of $402. That's a $269 savings. Free dining is going to run you right at $100 a night in the resort, or $400. It is cheaper for you to do free dining.

Did this answer your question? You said something about 3 day tickets, but it is only a total of $40 more to go to a 5 day ticket for 2 adult & 2 child tickets.

I priced the pin code out against free dining, and also came up with dining being cheaper.

Also, when I spoke to the reservations people yesterday, they told me that they had absolutely no rooms available anywhere in the moderates or standard rooms at WL for the pin rate in late September. You may call and find that to be true for your dates, too.
