We are flying into San Diego on a Sunday and leaving 11 days later on a Wednesday in late spring/early summer. It worked out for us that the cheapest nonstop was to SD so we're stuck with that.

We would like to do Disneyland for a minimum of 3.5 days, then Legoland, Seaworld, SD Zoo and Wild Animal Park. We'd like to stay on or near the beach in SD so that we can have some beach time in the afternoons so if anyone has any ideas about that, please chime in! We were thinking La Jolla might be a good option?

My big issue is which park which day. Are SD attractions sufficiently crowded that avoiding weekends would be the best option? I know to avoid DL on weekends so this is what I was thinking:

Sunday: drive to DL, spend evening in the park
Monday: DL
Tuesday: DL
Wednesday: DL
Thursday: check out early and drive to Legoland. Check into SD hotel

Here's where I get confused though. If it would be better to do Legoland on a weekend because it's less crowded, we could go to a different park on Thursday or none at all but I thought it was sorta on the way ... I am particularly worried about the crowds at Seaworld. If it meant doing one of them on the weekend, which would be the better choice - WAP or the zoo?

Friday: San Diego Zoo (Legoland?)
Saturday: Rest/beach day/Balboa Park
Sunday: Same as Saturday (WAP?)
Monday: WAP (Zoo?)
Tuesday: Seaworld
Wednesday: home

Any input is appreciated!

I would definitely avoid SeaWorld on the weekends (and do!). I would probably do WAP on the weekend instead of the zoo, because the crowds are more manageable there IMO, and you won't have to fight Balboa Park traffic, which is pretty nutty on the weekends.

Seaport Village is a nice place to walk around on the weekends, even though it does get a bit crowded.

HTH - have fun!

one thing to remember is that Legoland is closed on Tuesdays I think. We went to Legoland and the San Diego Zoo in October; LOVED Legoland, was really disappointed in the zoo. We left the zoo and walked to Balboa Park which is gorgeous and my kids loved the train museum!!

The attractions at Legoland are not high capacity. So whenever you go get there early to avoid the lines. As the park fills up the lines become bad.
