Help me name my twins...

I'm expecting fraternal twin girls, and we have several names that we go back and forth on. I definitely don't want a name that is universally hated, and I think this is a good cross section here...

They are all good names. I went for Isabelle. Love that name. If it weren't for the fact that I was using a very special family name for my DD, Isabelle would have been on my short list too. That and Sophia. I like Sophia Grace. But I am not having anymore.

You have a great selection there. I chose Gabriella is it is not heard as often, at least where I live. I also love Isabella, but that name was extremely popular hear a few years ago, and there are many girls here with that name. Of course what do I know. I named DD Emma 5 years ago then found out its was the # 1 name that year. Lol

I had to decide between Gabrielle and Isabelle. I voted for Gabrielle. We do have a daughter named Isabella. And we have fraternal twin boys! Picking names was THE hardest!!! Good luck

Don't tell anyone, I mean anyone, until the babies are born.

People are so quick to tell you how much they hate they name before the baby is born.

Once you announce the birth of "baby sue" everyone has a smile and a congrats.

A friend of mine had a name picked out until her in-laws tore it to shreds. She changed it! Then she gave me the above advise!

Those are all very pretty, but all very, very popular. Chances are, you may end up with three or four Isabelle's in the kindergarten classroom.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I loved both. Had a really hard time deciding. Her name is Isabelle Sophia.

If three embryos are transferred it's a safe bet, but it can be confirmed 100% through an amnio.

This is good advice. The reason I said to name your babies whatever you want is because well meaning friends and family did not like the name I had chosen for my daughter and as soon as she was born, I followed their advice and I regret it everyday. Be true to yourselves.

It's sort of too late for me. I mentioned the name Giselle to my hair dresser, and a woman with her son in the chair next to me said everyone would think I wanted her to be a supermodel.. It's actually a family name.

First of all congratulations I went about it a different way I thought of " what will people nickname this name ? "

Gabrielle have seen it become Gabby
Alexandra will become Alex
Celeste not sure but kept thinking about Celestial Teas
Isabelle will become Izzy
Giselle....................not liking this one


Bottom line IMHO the first 4 are all pretty names I chose Alexandra

FWIW I have a Francine ....outside the family she'll be called Fran and Franny to everyone's horror and a Jennifer......Jen or Jenny to us

At age 9 I still love my DD's name Vanessa. Rare around her but familiar enough that no one misspells it. If she was a twin my other name was Vivian or Lillian. Family names...

Gabby and Alex I don't mind, but I definitely don't like Izzy. I prefer Belle or Bella for that one.

All great names..I have 2 granddaughters, that have names out of your poll, 1 is Gabrielle Elizabeth and the other is Logan Isabella..so it was hard to make a choice out of your picks..lol..good luck with your twin girls, whatever you name them!
