Help me make up clues for a Valentine's Treasure hunt

I want to do a hunt for my dd and hubby for their gifts. I got hubby those Richard Petty lap tickets someone posted about on here back in Dec. DD got this huge stuffed dog that she has been begging for everytime we go into the store. My husband has a large garage at the back of our property so I plan to put his tickets in there as the final place. We can do outside clues as it is warm here. We have a tiki hut, pool, and my dd has a 3 level playhouse swing thing that we can use to place clues. Not sure if I want them to do it together or separate.

My plan is to make heart shaped chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. I will pack hubby's as he leaves way early. In his breakfast I planned to leave a clue something like:
Think carefully about the next clue as you speed your way to work. Your next clue will be under something you use for speed. Then tape his next clue underneath his gas pedal.

Well that's all I have. HELP!!! I need it by tomorrow so I have time to get them ready. Please, please all creative people help poor uncreative me.

Ok my last shameless bump for some help.

I was actually planning on doing a scavenger hunt for some tickets I got for my bf for V-Day. Some of the ideas I came up with were:
1. Hide a clue in a dvd or video tape: My clue will say: Head down to the basement and watch for the sliding doors (one clue will be hidden in our Sliding Doors movie)
2. Off to bed, bed I said! Rest your head for a moment and find your next clue. (the clue will be under a pillow or in the pillow case)
3. Another will be to go to the computer and check his email...which will have another clue
4. I am trying to do one with a word scramble or a letter decoder. Something like: Go to the 42571389 (b=4 a=2 etc for bathroom) and check the ######## ####### (medicine cabinet) the code would be at the bottom.
5. I am going to have a clue somewhere that says: You are almost there...just picture it! There is a photo op in the dining room! Print the last photo to find your last clue! (I'll have my photo printer set up so he just needs to print the last picture...which will show where he will find his last clue)
6. We have a dartboard so I though I would do the next one which would say "when I met you I know I hit the "bullseye"
7. What you've been loking for has been in front of you all along...now track her down and sing her a beautiful song...after he sings to me I will give him his present
