OK... I've got my late lunch reserved at Blue Bayou.

I've also got a Character Breakfast at Plaza Inn on my Birthday.

I basically want to keep it to one sit down meal per day. I need 3 more choices for sit down meals - either lunch or dinner.

What are some places I need to make reservations for? Carnation Cafe? :confused3 Is it a reservation type place?

I would book Carnation Cafe for lunch or dinner. I took DBF there for the first time recently, and it is not his fave place to go. I would also book at Wine Country Trattoria. Very yummy.

It looks like you are an Ariel fan -- have you considered eating at Ariel's Grotto in DCA?

I would say Cafe Orleans, Carnation Cafe or Wine Country Trattoria.

Yes, you can make a PS for Carnation Cafe; the food there is SO yummy!

And I'm going to second the previous poster who said Ariel's Grotto...it's a must for mermaid fans!

I was also going to say Carnation Cafe or Wine Country Trattoria. DH and I just went to both for the first time recently. I loved my lasagna at WCT but DH though his sandwich was just okay. We had a late breakfast at CC (actually, we considered it more of an early lunch but it was breakfast food) and got the cinnamon roll french toast which we both loved.

OK... I'll book Carnation Cafe for lunch. That's the place with the Mickey Shaped Biegnets right?

Also Wine Country Trattoria. Is that in DCA? I'll have to look up a menu!

As for Ariel's Grotto... we ate there years ago when it was a normal character meal. Now that it's a princess meal - I don't think we want to do it. DH will go along with Character meals but not princess meals!!!! It's just the two of us - no kids - and while I could probably twist his arm and make it happen... I just don't think he'd enjoy a princess meal!!! So I don't think I'm going to book that one!

No, Cafe Orleans is the place with the Mickey beignets. CC is the little place on main street. And yes, WCT is in DCA.

Allears.net is good for looking at menus. At the bottom of the main page is a tiny link for DLR and then you will see a link to dining and menus on the left side.

OK... I know the Monte Cristo is only served for lunch at Blue Bayou... but does anyone know if Cafe Orleans serves the Monte Cristo at both lunch and dinner?

Also - do I need reservations there? Or could I just walk in? And if I only order the Beignets... am I going to get the stink eye from the server?

The Monte Cristo is served at both lunch and dinner at Cafe Orleans. I would make a PS just to be safe. Can't answer the Beignets question....

Ariel's food is awesome now!! they fixed up the menu and the characters can just pass by you if you dont want them to stop by.
But i would say try to book reservations for Ariels, cause its awesome!

We went to Cafe Orleans without reservations but that was in november so I don't know if it's as easy to do other times. We went right at 11am and we were among the first there so we got seated quickly. You should probably call and get PS just to be safe but if you decide not to I would say just show up at 11 and you shouldn't have too much trouble.

I'm not sure about getting "stink eye" from the server about ordering only beignets. :confused3 I know you can get mickey beignets somewhere else but I can't think of where. I'm sure someone else will chime in with that info.

DH got a monte cristo at lunch. He loves the one at the BB so he didn't hesitate to get it at CO. It's the same sandwich since BB and CO share a kitchen.
