What would you do? I am planning on going to WDW, not sure yet if I will go in May of the Fall of the year! DD will be going with me, but only for about a week and then she will fly back.

Anyway here it is! I am not a fussy person when it comes to a Resort, but it must be on Disney Property. I would like to go for 3 weeks, as I am slow now and need the time.

I could go for two weeks and stay at a Mod. or go for the three weeks and stay at a Value! I would save alot of money by staying at the Value Resort. I also feel that the money I save that I could do so many more things while at Disney. Like go to some of the dinner shows, etc.

So if you where me, just which route would you go?

I really think you need to be good to yourself. Stay the first two weeks at a value and the last week at a Deluxe! :)

We have gone in May and found it to be busy. November seems like a long ways away now, but if you don't go during Jersey week then the crowds are low and the weather is still great. That was our favorite time to go until DS hit 5th grade and it was too hard to take him out of school. (Now we go april vacation and august)

But of course if you are going for 3 weeks then the pressure is off to get everything done in one week so it may not matter when you go. We love the weather in april and will be going this year the 18th - 25th. The crowds are usually not bad then but will probably be higher this year due to it being around Easter.

Have fun with whatever you choose! :)

I would split the stay. Maybe 2 weeks at a value and then one week at a Moderate.

A lot depends on what you are going to do while you're in Orlando. I'd make a list of what's important to you. If you would rather spend 3 weeks - stay at a value. If atmosphere and room are more important (based on how much time you will be in your room) - stay moderate, 2 weeks. If it's not all that important - stay 3 weeks and take your time. Many other factors can be entered into this list. Maybe the resort with the most checks can help you determine your choice.

If it were me, and I had the luxury of staying 3 weeks and I wanted to, I'd go value in a heart beat. However, two weeks is usually enough for me....and I'd still go value....only because I would not be in the room that much. However, if I needed to spend more time in the room and I could only spend 2 weeks, I'd probably go moderate.

Now that I've made things harder for you :earboy2: , good luck with your decision! Sounds like a great trip either way.

I do not want to split my stay between two Resorts! I have done that and I find it a pain to have to pack and move. I feel like I lose a day doing this! ::yes::

I would go in the Fall, but I am biased as Fall is my favorite time to go. As far as the resort, if you can stay longer at a Value then go that way. Why rush yourself just to stay in a mod.

Stay the three weeks, I have stayed at PC, I really liked it. The room was a little tight for us but solo you would be just fine. I loved the food court, really great, had lots to choose from. The pool was nice too!

The longer you can stay in WDW the better!! Thats my theory and im sticking to it!

Have you thought about renting point & staying at one of the DVC resorts in a studio? That would give you a litte kitchenette - sink, micro & under-counter fridge. All but OKW would have a queen bed plus a sleeper sofa - it might be nice for you to have a place to sit and relax when you are having down time.

You could do studio for about the price of a moderate & it would give you transportation options (boat from VWL to MK, boat from Beach Club or Boardwalk to MGM & Epcot).
