I would like to book animal kingdom villas this is my first trip as dvc owner. i asked member services and they told me if a bus doesn't go right to the race a bus will take me to one of the resorts that offer a bus to the race.

I emailed the question to the sports page and was told no bus transportation other than hotles listed as princess half marathon hotels.
so here is my question who is the right cm??
if \i need to cab where would I cab to epcot? and how much would a cab be from akl to epcot?

I know it is early but I will need to reserve with my dvc points or i will miss out??

I thought all i had to do was worry about training (bad enough) lol

I have not done Princess so can't advise, other than I think that the resorts listed are the only that will get you to the event via bus.

CM may have misunderstood. As I understand, the busses won't actually take you directly from one resort to the other unless you are on a stop of multiple resorts. The only event that has busses serve all WDW resorts is Marathon Weekend, I think.

Hang in with your question. I'm sure someone here will know the correct answer.

I haven't done the Princess, so I don't know specifics. However, when I did the Princess 15K last May, we had a rental car and picked up people that needed a ride. I also saw people taking cabs, so I'm sure that would be an option.
Transportation can always be worked out, please don't worry too much about the transportation issue.
As far as making your a reservation with your DVC points, I would do that as soon as you are able.

Hotels not listed as host hotels offer no transportation. You can take a cab for around $10 to the race start or drive yourself. This is a issue with non Jan WDW races. Disney is forcing you to stay or fend for yourself.

What time does the princess half start in the morning? If it is 6 am, like the races on marathon weekend, the other buses won't because it is too early. In this case your only hope will be to take a cab or drive yourself.

Coming from a Princess Halfer, you either stay at one of the resorts listed to get Disney transport to the start of the race or you either use your own car (or rental) or get a cab. That is pretty much your choices. You never know closer to the event, as it is a LONG way off, you may find others staying in your area that might be willing to share a car or share a cab. Regular Disney buses will be obivously running to bring you back to your resort.

i guess i will have to call the cab compmany and get a quote on a rate. we stayed at okw last year and didn't get a cap anywhere for under 15.00 I don't mind if it $30.00 but wouldn't want to spend much more.

I know it is really early but if i don't book my dvc points i won't get akv

Don't worry too much about the cab right now. I hope you are hanging out on the Princess Half Thread. Keep an eye out for people staying in the same area. WISHers are very good at offering rides and sharing cabs. It will all work out, you'll see. Go ahead and get your dvc!!:cool1:

thanks disney fan will do...stop worrying about can start worrying about half marathon lol. and yes I have been hanging out at princess thread....my first half
