Help me get excited...........

Our trip is in 7 days!!! we are all packed!!! but..........................

DH is on strike and I'm worried about his job!! What can I do to stop worrying and start getting into vacation mode??

I'll be at WDW too. It will be a way to relax for you and your family. I imagine myself this time next Sunday being at the Studios checking out the Star Wars Weekend and getting ready to meet some DIS members for dinner. I will be wearing a big smile because I am with my hubby. We are on a budget, but we are having fun. We love taking pictures as our momentos. Have fun and if you see us--come say Hi.

WDW is the best place to make your problems disappear. If you feel that your family is not making a financial mistake to go now, sit back and enjoy the magic. You will be in a better frame of mind to deal with reality when you return

Try not to think about it while you are on vacation. Enjoy the time with your family. Worrying doesn't change anything, and it isn't every day you get to go to WDW. Hope everything works out okay for your husband.

Take the time and enjoy the well deserved vacation

....to ease your mind......maybe your DH has a friend he could ask to call him if there are any major developments in the strike....or a ratiification vote....

Under his Union Constitution....he wouldn't miss out on any strike benfits until of a certain time lapse...plus....any strike benefits can only be disbursed if there is a demonstration of need under Federal Law....so going on vacation won't interrupt that...

plus..i get the feeling this vacation was preapproved by his employer....so, in the event of a settlement....his job will be there upon his return...

so....enjoy your vacation...

Thanks for all of the replies and advice. My DH's company has reached an agreement and he is off strike. Our vacation is in 2 days and I'm so excited I can barely breathe!
