Help me get excited for Blizzard Beach!

The day we were planning to go to Typhoon Lagoon - it is closing for refurb. Shucks.

Anyhow we were stoked because the shark reef and the big lazy river, not to mention the huge tide pool were the things our family was looking forward to most at TL.

I know I don't have to worry and we will have a lot of fun - but please share with me why we are SO lucky this happened so we can now experience the best at Blizzard Beach.

It is me, DH and our DD5 who will be going. What are we going to love the most???!!!

I would be so excited because our family thinks BB is SO MUCH BETTER !

TL - beautiful lush landscape and a powerful wave pool that is fun for awhile and we used to love the shark reef but no more. You have to go very early in day to avoid the silt being stirred up. It is usually very crowded, you have to rush through and we were just there in May and the number of fish has gone down so much, just not worth the effort.

BB - nice wave pool, great lazy river, awesome family raft ride, great slides, your DS will love the Ski Patrol Training area, fun theme ..... to us there is no comparison in the fun factor

So get excited, you will have a great time

Well, we personally like TL better, but before it had Crush n Gusher and before my brother and I were really into the wave pool, we always went to BB.

BB has THE best family raft ride ever! It's so long and so much fun. Also, the lazy river is very cool. The overall theming is amazing there. We love riding the ski lift up to the big hill (a little note to make this line go quicker- if they still allow "single riders" on the ski lift, definitely do it. you will only be separated from the rest of your family for a few minutes, and the line goes much faster). Also, the water slides are pretty great. And if you're adventurous enough, do Summit Plummit. It's definitely the scariest thing I've ever done, but also the biggest rush!

BB is way better than TL. The slides are bigger and faster at BB. We love it!

I'm not a fan of the TL wave pool. The BB pool has waves that are more tame, but still fun.

LOL. We're from upstate New York and felt the same way.

I actually like the wave pool at BB better than TL. The TL waves are difficult for my kids to handle and I have to have a hand on them the whole time we're in there. VERY tiring.

The slides are better at BB too. I like the shark reef, but worry not -- there are plenty of things to keep you occupied at BB.

BB is awesome. TL is closed most of the times we go (we're November WDWers), so we BB often. To balance it out, if we are able to add a trip, we'll do TL when it is open.

The theming at BB is not as good, but it isn't bad or a distraction either.

The lazy river is just as good. The chairlift is very cool. The kiddy area is great. There are more slides at BB. Wave pool is better with kids.

It is a bummer that you will miss the sharks and CrushnGusher. But I'd be very surprised if you didn't love it anyway. Have you had a chance to read the summary of it on the mainpage (wdwinfo)? Pretty good stuff.

I love BB as much as I love TL. They both are fun in their own way.

At TL- I enjoy the lazy river, the wave pool, Crush-n-Gusher and the kids area.

At BB- The kids area has more slides for the little ones and a small wave pool. They have an equal lazy river in my opinion. But, I really enjoy their family raft. It is a little longer of a ride and more kid friendly as far as the amount of water that gets in their face.

Have fun there. Once you get there, you will have a blast!
