I have not been to Disney since the evening EMH were instituted. Usually we do the early morning EMH park and then hop to a non-EMH park. Does it now make sense to do a morning EMH or is evening EMH better? We are generally early risers while at Disney, but have no problem doing late nights if we can sleep in the next day. Any suggestions?

Also, I have never done EMH at AK. Is it worth it?

We have never done EMH at Ak, but we have enjoy both morning and night EMH at the other parks. We have hit both in the same day, this allows more time in the afternoon for swiming and a little R and R back at the hotel. Then its off again to the park with the EMH in the evenings.

We just got back. Here is what evening EMH is all about:

Each park stays open 3 hours past closing to Disney resort guests. You have to go to a designated location (different in each park) and get a wristband. Then you can keep riding.

However, here is the problem. The evening EMH at MK was crazy crowded. We left a little after midnight. I have heard when you get past 1am it clears out, but we didn't wait.

The other problem is that the CM's really don't have a way to tell people that do not have/can't get the wrist band that they can't ride. we did EPCOT emh and on test track my DS noted that 25%+ did not have the wristbands.

We love the morning emh but not as thrilled with the evening emh.

I agree 100% with not being very thrilled with EMH. When we were at MGM, there was a lot of people riding the ToT and RR that did not have a wrist band on and they were still allowed to ride. MGM closed at 8pm and at 10:30pm we still had a 40 minute wait for both rides. Atleast with the MMH, there is only resort guests. I wish that Disney would do a better job with the EMH.

I've seen people turned away from the rides without wristbands. One problem in the early part of EMH is that anyone that is in line when the park closes can ride, keeping the lines longer. As the night goes on the crowds start to leave. Evening EMH is best if you plan to stay late. Besides everyone starts to get a littly goofy that late and its a lot of fun.

I read up on EMH a lot before our trip last August. Some said definately go, others said to skip it because the lines were just as bad (if not worse in some cases) as during the day. The plan we made, from advice gathered here on the Dis :thumbsup2 , was to skip the EMH nights and go to the park the morning after they have an EMH night, since most people will not return there the next morning after being there all night. This worked out greaaat and we were so glad to do it this way. We did go to a couple EMH mornings and those were good. The final decision is up to you, but I'm just offering another solution. Following this way we did not have any problems with huge lines or unmanageable crowds.
