I am going to WDW in July with my group of close friends -- we vacation together annually. I am the planner of the group, especially when it comes to Disney things; on our trip to DL this past year it went something like this --
Me: RideMax plans for DL & DCA nested into each other, planned down to the minute, with exact lists of what people did and did not want to do.
Them: *Why do we need two days? Can't we get away with just one?
*Why do you have all of the kiddie rides (read: Fantasyland) on the schedule?
*Hey, can we see World of Color again tomorrow night?
They kindly put up with my uber-planning, but we've found it works best if I come up with a framework, get their input, pull it all together, and then give it back to them for review.
All of that said... I am looking for a short list to present to the girls of TS restaurants we may want to eat at. We will not be on the DDP, and will be split staying at Pop and AKL, arriving on Sat (getting to the MK around late afternoon/dinnertime) and departing the following Sun (in the early afternoon.,) the first week of July. We will probably want to do 3-4 restaurants, as we are mostly snackers.
We are NOT the fancy diners. (Le Cellier will not happen.) When we go out to eat we normally spend the time cracking up at things that no one else would find funny... borderline silly. We are frugal (read: very cheap) and I may get outvoted on even a few TSes. We are also hard to feed:
*Me: vegetarian (ovo-lacto) with an allergy to mushrooms (and mango.) Not picky, just hard to feed.
*R: picky. Very picky. Think kids meals and comfort food, but even then, she doesn't like half of the stuff. (We are getting her to be more adventuresome, but it's typically to taste stuff, not to commit by ordering a whole 'new' entree.)
*C: Easygoing, will eat anything except seafood. There's something else random she doesn't like, but I don't recall what it is. (Maybe milk, as a drink?)
*N: Also easygoing, probably the easiest to feed, and incidentally to make sure no two of us are totally compatable in our feeding - loves seafood (well, crab.) LOL!
I'm thinking either Crystal Palace (which I think I'm going to do in May instead) or Tusker House for breakfast -- sounds like they work for both picky and veg. Also Prime Time sounds fun, basic food for R and I am the sweets girl so the milkshakes sound great. I'd love to find somewhere with crab legs for N, but it sounds like Fulton's is the best plan for that and the rest of us would starve.
The only Disney TS I've ever eaten at is The Plaza, oh, and Rainforest Cafe if you count that.
So... throw 'em at me! Help me create a short list to pass on to the girls for approval.
Thanks!
