Ok here is the dilema. My DW has decided that this trip we must try BC as she must have a "No way Jose" I am looking forward to trying one of the famous burgers. No way will we be able to tackle the kitchen sink but would love to try.

Anyways my question is this. We are planning on driving over there before we even check in to AKL on the day we arrive, around 11:00am. I know it is on the boardwalk but I have never been to the boardwalk area before. Where would the best and closest place be to park. Is it a part of one of the resorts?

Any help or advice would be great. Thanks

I can't answer your questions, but just so you are aware, B&C is at the Beach Club, not the Boardwalk.

Thank you. I was getting that confused. But is the beach club not in the boardwalk area?

So I guess it makes the most sense to park at the beach club when going to beaches and cream?

The Beach Club (and B and C) is across the lake from Boardwalk Inn and is a quick 5 minute walk - in the same area but not on the boardwalk.

DH and I share a meal here so that we'll have room for dessert. Most places are happy to let you share a meal, some even on the DDP. :)

The Boardwalk is actually pretty nice to walk around. I'm not sure about durring the day, but at night they have street performers that are pretty entertaining and if you don't have any kids with you JR is a great place to spend a night drinking and singing.

If you want to you can park at the Boardwalk and walk over to BC then take a nice stroll before checking in. I just didn't want you to end up pacing up and down the Boardwalk itself looking for B&C, cause you would be looking for a long time. :thumbsup2

It's actually easiest to park at the Beach Club. Just tell the guard you are coming to eat at Beaches n Cream. Parking at the Boardwalk is more complicated and chances are high you will have to park across the street from the resort not in the resort lot itself.

Park at the Beach Club, go in through the lobby and turn right toward Cape May Cafe. Follow the hallway around and go straight out the doors. B&C is on the right. :)

If you are going to park a car to go to B&C, make sure you are parking at the Beach Club, not the Boardwalk. Not only is parking easier at the Beach Club, but you would have a decent-length walk between the two resorts as you have to go around the lake.

What she said.

beaches and cream actually offer the best burgers at WDW...i wouldn't say "famous"...but definitely the best

The No Way Jose is definitely the best ice cream choice....i've had em all...that one is the best

I'm sorry to hijack your thread OP but for those of you who have been before, when is the best time to go? We were planning on being there at around 5pm on a Friday, but with two small kids I want to make sure we try to avoid the crowd and long waits.

Thanks for any advice.

That would most likely be a very crowded time, especially if it's warm outside. Better to go in the middle of the afternoon. We went in around 3 PM in January and it was empty.

B&C is doubtless the smallest restaurant on property. It has only three booths and seven or eight tables (all tables for four, which are pushed together for larger parties). There is counter seating, but families with small kids generally don't want that.

If you go during a prime mealtime, you will likely do some waiting.

There are also some small tables outside B & C with a great view of the pool if its too crowded and you want to take your meal or ice cream outside. It does get crowded, so going during off hours is best.

Also, the No Way Jose is Yummo!!!:goodvibes

We love the burgers and onion rings too. :thumbsup2

We have been to beach Club and eaten at Beaches and Cream more times then I can count but I have not heard of a No Way Jose, is this new? I have heard of their kitchen sink which it seems like everyone orders. What is a No Way Jose. My favorite is their steak sandwich and cherry coke. BC is easier to park at but you can always park at Boardwalk and take the short boat ride instead of walking which is fun and then of course if you time it to be by the bridge at fireworks you have another treat.

The No Way Jose is the best - it's not new as far as I know - it's peanut butter & chocolate! I thought I had a better photo than this, but I guess I didn't put it on Photobucket

wanted to clarify - the takeout at B&C is basic ice cream only, no specialty sundaes. you also can't get food to go. the little tables are cute outside but not an option for dining out there :)

Beaches & Cream is always busy and there really is no "good" time to arrive. If you want to have lunch at 11:00 a.m.--do as others have suggested: park at BC, walk through BC lobby, put your name on the list, be patient, and wait.

It really is worth it if you enjoy good burgers/fries/onion rings and ice cream. The No Way Jose is a favorite of our children (now adults). The kitchen sink is way too much for a couple of people and more than enough for four!

Hope you enjoy it!

Jody's right, you can't get food or specialty sundaes "to go" although there are tables outside.
