Help me design my kitchen!!

We ripped our kitchen apart 2 almost 2 years ago now.
My favorite thing about my kitchen is Everything LOL
I especially love the granite countertops with granite backsplash, and my Maytag Double Oven. I can't believe it's the same kitchen

I almost forgot my special cabinet that is really wide and deep for those large size pans and appliances.

Since you said you are working with a smallish space, you might want to consider taking the cabinets all the way to the ceiling. Ours are 42" (I think) with no soffit or dust catcher space. You get a lot more storage by doing this. If you have seasonal/seldom used items to store, getting out a step stool once in a while isn't a big deal.

I have a maple floor. I love the look. But it does show the dents and scratches.

Our floors are oak which I believe are harder than maple. They still have some (ok a lot) of marks from 2 huge dogs skidding on them. This is not really a huge deal to me as I grew up in a house built in 1908 with original hardwood floors. Part of the charm of hardwood floors for me is the patina that develops over time.

Maple's pretty hard too. I have old oak floors in my living room and dining room (my house was built in 1925). They are not banged up. I'll look forward to the random scratches in my kitchen turning into a patina over time--thank you for helping me see it that way!
