My advice is to keep all your ADR's and cancel whichever meal you can't make while you're there (when you're there).

Let me explain--we did Free Dining trips three years in a row and couldn't make all our ADRs every time. Examples--first year, we got caught in a bad thunderstorm and didn't make it back into the MK for a Crystal Palace ADR. The next year, my husband had an eye accident that caused us to change up our plans for a day. Last year, our friends revolted and refused to leave the resort one night because their legs were shot.

My point is that it's likely something will come up where you can't make a meal, and if you have an extra ADR, you won't sweat trying to find another restaurant at the last minute.

FWIW, we've been to most of the restaurants you listed and liked them, except Boma and for the same reason as other posters (too sweet). We didn't love the atmosphere in the Garden Grill--it's dark and dank--but the food was very good. We've been to the Crystal Palace a few times and enjoyed the food, atmosphere and characters, but DH misses being able to order cocktails there.

boma. The chef was very arrogant with my nut allergy- which is EXTREMELY unlike disney. The safety of the restaurants is one of the major reasons we love to go!

We would dump Boma dinner...as other posters have said, the seasonings used on many of the dinner meats & vegetables are very sweet tasting (or covered with cinnamon to the point the food tastes like cinnamon-red-hots)
Now if you absolutely have to go to Boma, suggest trying Boma breakfast at 7:30 AM...the breakfast buffet there is very good (and there are some ethnic choices, but not as sweet/cinnamony as the dinner choices) Afterward, you can walk out on the viewing area to see the animals on the savannah...there's usually quite a few out early.

We have been at all your other choices and enjoyed them all. Keep Captain's Grill...besides being handy to Epcot, it's a good steak restaurant. And the Boardwalk area is fun to explore at night. Garden Grill is fun (and great place to see Mickey!), and we liked the food there - it's not gourmet, but it's tasty.

I would take a different approach...

I've been to CP and to GG, both are good. I would drop the restaurant that is least convenient to your travel plans.

Especially since you have 2 little ones and are expecting, I'd ask myself: Which restaurant will take the least effort to get to? Which one will entertain the kids? Which one will let me stay seated throughout the meal and not have to get up 100 times? :thumbsup2

Worked it out with my husband (I needed his ok to delete Boma - we are trying Sanaa instead and paying OOP for this one). Since the food is similar and we've already done Boma, he was ok with it.

We are on the DDP otherwise and not "hopping" so have our plans pretty well made about where we are spending our days. Although, unlike many, we actually get done at the parks by early afternoon (2 - 3) and head back to the hotel to nap, shower, etc before heading out for dinner.

So here is the final schedule!!

Sunday 8/28 - day at DHS, dinner at Captain's Grill
Monday 8/29 - day at AK, dinner at Sanaa (OOP)
Tuesday 8/30 - day at MK, dinner at Hoop dee doo Revue
Wednesday 8/31 - day at Epcot, dinner at Garden Grill
Thursday, 9/1 - day at MK, dinner at Crystal Palace
Friday, 9/2 - day at DHS, dinner at Cape May Clambake

There is a chance we may do Rainforest Cafe or Kona (with sushi options) for dinner on our arrival night 8/27 (we have a 7 hour drive from north of Atlanta), but nothing really firm.

Can't wait!!! :dance3:

I know you already made your decisions, but just so you know, we loved Garden Grill!

I also would get rid of Boma..we went there twice and not a fan either time.
