I am still on the fence after staying

the hotel is very nice and the rooms are awesome-so big compared to Value resort rooms. But the transportation was a hassle and one BIG turnoff for me was the 'tip' line added to virtually everything you did at the hotel-even pickup food had room for a 'tip'. I am not against tipping but felt it was excessive-and room service charging you 18% 'delivery fee' and then expecting a tip on top was annoying as well.
Customer service was a mixed bag as well-house keeping was amazing but front desk needs to keep their word and call you when your room is ready. I changed rooms once (the
ecv I used was too large to comfortably use the elevators) and both on initial check-in and when changing rooms I was told I would receive a call letting me know my room was ready and it never happened. Bus driver were on the whole awesome with one exception.
Overall I think next time I will stay at POP or ALL Stars for the bulk of the stay and then either go to Shades for 3-4 nights or one of the Deluxe Hotels instead. Disney can't touch Evergreens Burgers though and the steaks at Manginos (sp?) were better than Steakhouse 71 or Space 220. PX was cheaper than Disney Gift shops but more expensive than
WalMart so if you have a vehicle that is a wash.
On the ECV-it was nice that Shades allows ECV drop-off by any company. I used Scootorlando (
Scooter Adventures) and despite the so-so reviews on yelp I was sold-the battery never dropped below 2/3 even after 6 hours in the park (epcot) of continuos use and the promised rapid charger is in fact a radid charger-never had to charge for more than a couple of hours to get topped off again. I would recommend them to anyone.
