So I am booking our 2013, 1-year anniversary trip, to WDW for the F&W Festival/Marathon. I was originally going to book the AoA since it was new and the QS sounds fantastic, but when we were last there together we stopped at PFQ and loved the look and how small it was. We stayed at CBR last time and HATED it. It was WAY TOO big for us. So my question is this for those of you that have seen/stayed at these hotels:

If we are on a budget and PFQ cost $687 more than AoA, is the extra cost worth the upgrade? Or do you think we will be happy staying in a Mermaid Standard Room at AoA (I know these rooms are not available, but you can make your best judgement). If you think it will not be romantic remember we will also be on a 1-week cruise on the Allure of the Seas when we finish with WDW and will have a Central Park View Room :lovestruc

Thanks in advance for your time and input!!

I would save the money and try the AOA, which is brand spankin'new. Use the money you saved for cruise excursions, or a dinner at V&A's and still have money left over. Just my opinion. But I have switched from moderate to value resort and like having more money to spend (or not) for other things. I sleep, shower, and store my belongings at the resort, dont spend much time there anyway!

We stayed at the POFQ in 2011 when they just redid the rooms and LOVED it. It was small and really convenient to walk to/from the buses and dining area, esp. when we were all exhausted and ready to drop after a long day at the parks. The boat to Downtown Disney was also really a nice perk.

i would worry the size of AoA would overwhelm you as well and I'd choose POFQ for the size

Thanks for the input everyone... all good thoughts. I do like the idea that the AoA is brand new... but have been worried at the size since we will not be in the buildings with the suites. As does the boat ride to DTD entice me. I have done it before for PORS, in fact at the POFQ the previous year that was why we were at the resort. We went there instead of taking the bus to our resort then downtown... very romantic. decisions decisions.

keep the input coming... Jonny 5 loves input :rotfl:
