I am feverishly working on my ressies for Oct., just need some feedback and advice! Keep in mind that we are on ts dp and have 3 kids ages 2,5, and 10.

Here's what we have tentatively planned so far-

Garden Grill- dinner
Yak and Yeti- dinner
O'hana- breakfast, if we can get it...
Sci Fi- lunch or dinner
Teppan Edo or Les Chefs de France- dinner

We are thinking about a DTD dinner, not many options on DDP, or Boatwright's as we are staying at POR (reviews not great). Also considering:

Coral Reef
Crystal Palace
Garden Grove- this does not appear to be on DP? Confused about times/days for ch meals

help!!!

Here's what we have tentatively planned so far-

Garden Grill- dinner haven't done in over 12 years, but it was good at that time
Yak and Yeti- dinner a new favorite
O'hana- breakfast, if we can get it...haven't done this since they switched to family style and Stitch (don't care for either)
Sci Fi- lunch or dinnerwe ate dinner here in September (although I ordered off the lunch menu) and it was very good--loved the shake and onion rings
Teppan Edo or Les Chefs de France- dinnernever done either

Our comments above in red. We did not care for Boatwright's at all...bad food and very slow service; Coral Reef we've not done in years (at least ten). Crystal Palace is a must do for us -- but only for breakfast (we don't do lunch/dinner buffets unless it is Cape May or Biergarten). I'm not sure what Garden Grove is? Where is this at?

Sci-Fi and Crystal Palace have fun atmospheres, good food, and would be great choices for your kids :)

We prefer Sci-Fi for lunch. Burgers, shakes and onion rings. Yum!

Ohana's we've only been for dinner, but we really like it.

Yak & Yeti - one of our new favorites! We order a few different things and split it all up! Family style.

Sci-Fi and crystal palace are both amazing!!!! Both have really cool decorating :) I love them!!!! Great choices

Garden Grove is listed as character meal at the Swan and Dolphin. I hadn't even heard of it until I was on the actual WDW site and saw pics- it looks great, but unfortunately isn't on the DP. If anyone has any more info. on it, I'd appreciate it- is it worth paying OOP ?

I am also concerned about spending too much time dining- with small children, we go back for naps/breaks. Trying to hit early entry and sched. char. bk's for rest/swim days in order to avoid eating up (haha) park time...

With kids your ages, I would try for Chef Mickey's for dinner. Having dinner with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto is the best!

It is a hard reservation to get but since you want early seating, you should be fine. Last summer, the week of July 4th (busiest time to go) I was able to walk right up and get a table right when it opened. :woohoo:

Ohana's is fabulous for dinner for both the kids and adults. My kids enjoyed the hula lessons and coconut races. There are no characters at dinner but my kids didn't care since we had a character meal on another day. They really liked the fun upbeat atmosphere. It was our best meal of the trip. Delious! :thumbsup2

Your choices are good, but just a heads up about Sci-Fi.... it is quite dark so my DS(3) had a hard time seeing throughout the whole meal and even DD(8) had problems at times. I was glad to get outside because then I could see how much food DS took along with him :lmao:!

Sci-Fi is pretty quick. We've never had to wait long to be seated or to receive our food. I'd say we run through the movie loop once, which is what, about 45 minutes? Max. Yak and Yeti has always been pretty efficient, without feeling rushed, as well.
