Here is my dilema. We are going during free dining and I am debating on whether or not to keep my CRT lunch. I really wanted breakfast but haven't had any luck so far. There will be myself, husband (very picky eater) and 2 daughters 7 and 5. We have never eaten in the castle before but we do have a ADR for the princess breakfast in Epcot earlier in the trip and we coudl wait in line at toon town to see Cinderella.

I am not sure about the food at CRT for lunch, the menu looks a little scary. BUT eating in teh castle must be pretty awesome.... Right now we plan on paying for two meal OOP sci Fi lunch adn Ohanas breakfast.

So should we keep CRT or forget it and just use our credits on Sci Fi and Ohanas?

We will be eating in the castle for the 1st time in June, I think if I was you I would keep it. Your girls are the perfect age, and its your 1st time. If the $$ is not a problem for the other two meals, then go for it. I think it is really about the atmosphere at the CRT, not the food.

I have had the same issue. Called at 180 days right at opening and couldn't get an adr for CRT for breakfast (we have 5) as it ended up being free dining time. I have a lunch. I think I will keep it, but I have struggled with it. My kids are DS (5) DD (3) DD (1). I was pretty iffy about the menu, but I think it is the princesses and setting. I am not sure how much my kids will eat, but my DH will be fine. Plus it does include the picture. Also, I figure I probably couldn't get two other table service adr's at this point! I definitely wouldn't cancel till you had two other adr's. I think everything is pretty much already booked during free dining expect maybe for some strange times.

Never having been to the Castle for anything.I think you should keep the reservation.......I am sure just the atmosphere will be fantastic and add to your luncheon experience.........

We did CRT for breakfast one time OOP and we did dinner on the dp when it was just one credit. We also have done the Princess breakfast at Norway. We loved the breakfast at CRT and the dinner was good. However, I am not sure I would use 2 ts credits for the dinner. I have read on here lately that Cinderella has been at Norway. If she is the main reason then I would probably not keep it. But eating in the castle is certainly an experience. Sorry I guess I am not much help.

There is no replacing the Castle, but if you want Cindy dinner at 1900 Park Fare will take care of that or you.

We had lunch there, and it was great! It was definitely worth doing lunch when we couldn't get breakfast. They still do the wishing ceremony, and nothing beats the castle in the eyes of DDs!:goodvibes

We've done breakfast, lunch and dinner at CRT and lunch is by far our favorite. The food is pretty good. The Major Domo is good as is the pork tenderloin. I'd keep things the way you have them since you have the Akershus breakfast.

Your daughters are the perfect age for dining in the castle, I would keep your lunch reservation. We too have a lunch ressie during free dining, but decided to pay OOP for it, since its a fixed price, and use the 2 TS for dinners elsewhere. It just made more financial sense to us this way. And since your CC is charged upon reserving, its already paid for before we get there, so no need to budget that into our vacation that week.

BTW, we're two adults and CANNOT wait to eat inside the castle! The included photo package is a nice bonus too....good luck with you decisions! Hope the little princesses have lots of :pixiedust:

Keep it. My DD was two when she first experienced it and it was well worth the money! Well worth it. The atmosphere and closeness to the characters is great. Plus...I believe it's the hardest reservation to get...

K when are you going. I got one last month for Sept without much issue but I did request a late breakfast (which is until 10:30 or 11:00 I believe) the early morning were all gone. If that is an option you may want to try and set up a late breakfast.

Just a little info I'll put out (hopefully useful). I didn't know this so it may help someone else. We are a family of five and I could not get ressies for CRT (only had tables available for very small groups or very large) until a very helpful CM told me to book two tables (one actually seats 4 people and one for 2). Still booking for 5 people and totally legit. My youngest will need a highchair not a seat and they told me to tell the CM when we arrive and we should still be seated at one table with a highchair.

Just got back from WDW on 5/31. Ate at Akershus for lunch and Cinderella was there. Good meal, good service. Never able to get ADR for CRT breakfast. Loved the Akershus lunch. Would definitely do it again. Belle was greeting and posing for photo. Aurora, Ariel, Jasmine and Cinderlla circulated the room. They were great. Definitely beats standing in line at Toontown.

i would love to eat in the castle though i not bothered about the characters and thats half of what your paying for?

btw does OOP mean out of pocket?
