Trying to pick a TS to have a special night out with the kids. These are the ones I am interested in and would love some feed back....
Coral Reef
San Angel Inn
Marakesh
Tony's
Mama Melrose.

Thanks Guys Kat

I LOVE the San Angel Inn, great atmosphere and food...My other vote would be the Coral Reef, I've never eaten there, but I think the experience would be great, especially with kids...have fun! :thumbsup2

We did not really care for Mama Melrose. DS loved Coral Reef for the environment and the food was okAY. We liked the food at Tony's its just not as fun for kiddos as places like O'Hana's, WCC, and Coral Reef.

If you haven't scheduled in WCC, Ohana's or 50's PTC I'd try one of those over the choices you've picked. They are more child friendly.

I agree completely. Although, it might be kind of cool for the kids to do the ride in the Mexico pavilion before dinner, if you did want to eat at San Angel. Coral Reef is just not at all the place for kids. ( And we all hated the food!)

We loved Marrakesh. We have been there three times - 1994, 1997 and 2002. We plan on going again in a couple of weeks. The food is good, a little different and the entertainment is good as well.

Our kids remember Ohana fondly from 2002. For us, it was good but we won't be going again, but maybe we were just all too tired.

We are also trying Biergarten this time. I have heard really good things about it.

Thanks we have done each of these on prevous trips and want to try something new, but I do love O'hana!!

What is the entertainment at Marakesh like? Biergarten looked cool too.

We ate at Coral Reef in April and loved it. I was debating between this one and 50's prime time and glad we went to Coral Reef. The kids really loved the divers. The food was good. DH and I had steak dinner and chocolate wave for dessert. The kids had chicken pizza (said it was good) and ice cream sundae. The server was just okay not great.:thumbsup2

I dont think I would recommend Tony's, especially for something new & fun for the kids. It was nice, in a good location, and the food was good....but the theming wasn't "awesome" and I'm not sure there was much of anything kids would be too into. The food is also not nearly as good as the italian restaurant in Epcot, also. (Though the gelatto was fab.)

As a kid at heart, I would vote for coral reef.

We just got back a couple of weeks ago and absolutely loved San Angel. The atmosphere is so neat. We had great service, delicious food, and enjoyed the boat ride after our meal. We ate at a lot of nice places while we were there, but we all enjoyed this meal the most.
